Biomech Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 I've just read this article about a man who "accidentally" shot a burglar. http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/10849978.Whitbourne_shooting_trial___Malcolm_White_says_that_he_thought_he_was__going_to_be_robbed_/?ref=var_0 I have no problem with that, the men where trying to raid his house, by all means take action. But I am a little confused by the article. It says he's up on a charge on "unlawful wounding", but reading the article, the man in question was running a cannabis farm woth £60,000 a year...... surely he should be being convicted for supply and distribution of illegal substances? dippyhippy Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Sorry, posted something then thought better of it! There is a lesson there I'm sure! Quote
Biomech Posted December 6, 2013 Author Report Posted December 6, 2013 There's a new article in the HT now stating that he's been ... can't think of the word now.. judged... for 7 SENTENCED!! It was sentenced... for 7 years for drug farming. Quote
dippyhippy Posted December 6, 2013 Report Posted December 6, 2013 Yes - what I was going to post was that I thought there was a separate trial for these offences....then worried I might be making a comment I shouldn't, so deleted it. I have been called "irresponsible" once, its not going to happen twice! Quote
Biomech Posted December 8, 2013 Author Report Posted December 8, 2013 hen worried I might be making a comment I shouldn't, so deleted it. You'll be quite safe here Dippy, this isn't the HT ;) Quote
dippyhippy Posted December 8, 2013 Report Posted December 8, 2013 Thanks for those reassuring words Biomech! I always think, before I post - but now I think twice before sticking my two pence worth in to certain discussions!! Quote
