Aylestone Voice
The Council are saying that after "extended repairs" the system is being rebooted today and tomorrow. As you would expect there will be delays whilst this happens -and probably long into the future I say put TWG in charge of it!
dippyhippy
I'll second that! Actually, I think either TWG or Ragwert would make an excellent job!
twowheelsgood
Thanks for the vote of confidence - I'll happily do it for slightly less than the £80k currently paid to the man who does it at the moment … and it'll still leave me at least 3 days a week for cycling! Roger
So with this being a favourite rat run for many coming across from South Bank Road/Bodenham Road ( my wife included ) what will be the plan now..add to the traffic along Folly Lane, Venns Lane? Based on the destination of the new road and the bridge pinchpoint that's one road we will rarely use. I dunno your start point for that journey but a right turn out of Southbank Road onto the Hill is a no go at busy times so it looks like the Pilley Rd/Clifton Rd rat run! ( at non busy times go straight across and use Hopton Road?).Traffic jams will just shift to somewhere else I suppose!
