SON OF GRIDKNOCKER Posted February 27, 2014 Report Posted February 27, 2014 One hesitates to use the word 'prescient' - not least because it means that poor old Ragwert has to go and find his dictionary in the midden he calls his living room - but Bobby47's 'War' post on this site on 19 February was so amazingly 'on the money' that one wonders whether his real name isn't AJP Taylor Dec'd. The similarities between what is now happening before your very eyes in eastern Europe (errr...could you stop watching replays of 'Strictly' for a minute please, and switch over to BBC News? Thank you.) now, and what took place in the months leading up to the outbreak of WWII are simply uncanny. Putin is Hitler; Van Rompuy is Chamberlin. Quote
magicroundabout Posted February 28, 2014 Report Posted February 28, 2014 According to the inference on news this morning the Russian side are gathering, occupying Crimean airports, (but hey "they are not Russian troops") and the EU hopefuls are posturing back. Sad days for Ukrainians and the world. Bobby47 - Surreal and freaky there!!! Reminds me of the sixties - not sure why - love and peace man, flowers in your hair! Am hoping you got back home to bed okay, after your bout with Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir's brother!! . You're still posting today so I trust you got home safe, back to bed okay, raw steaks on each eye. Quote
bobby47 Posted February 28, 2014 Author Report Posted February 28, 2014 Well, the Russian invasion of Ukraine has begun. They are there to protect their own interests and to provide support to the vast numbers of Russian speaking Ukraine who sincerely wish to be tied and bound to their Mother country. In the meantime, an international warrant has been issued for the arrest of the democratically elected President who didn't want to get tied up with the European Union. This President stands accused of sanctioning the murder of near on a hundred Ukraine civilian protestors. Ain't it strange how politics works. They'll drag this fugitive President to The Hague, if he's lucky enough to avoid being executed beforehand, yet the very same political elite will allow the liar Tony Blair, who has the blood of a hundred thousand civilians from Iraq on his hands, and he's allowed to build up his property empire from Connaught Square and not a single thing is done. Now investigative journalists on the ground in Ukraine are only now discovering that huge numbers of the demonstrators are actually fascist neo nazis who despise Jews, Russians and many other minority groups who are living in the Ukraine and more worrying for us, once they get into the EU, and they will, they'll be heading to the United Kingdom where they'll be asked to put aside their bigotry and hatred and live happily ever after within our tolerant multi cultural society. Neighbouring economies, particularly Poland are now feeling the full impact of this event. Huge numbers of Ukraine are fleeing into Poland to escape the carnage which 'may' unfold. Hospitals are struggling to cope with the arrivals, the Polish economy has taken a hit and once more the curse of the European Union has bitten our buttocks as we slide ever closer to yet another man made crisis shaped and formed by the grand idea that we can become the United States of Europe. One flag, one political ideology, one way and no other, no borders, no nationality and no say in anything that relates to your hustory, your culture and your distinctive British way of laughing and looking at the outside world in a mocking manner. dippyhippy Posted March 1, 2014 Report Posted March 1, 2014 With the foreign Office now advising British citizens to leave, I can only assume that they anticipate an escalation of this situation. Terrible situation. My heart goes out to those caught up in the crossfire. Quote
megilleland Posted March 2, 2014 Report Posted March 2, 2014 Good bloody grief! It's getting worse in the Ukraine and I ain't talking about the seventy odd poor souls who've lost their lives today in this bonfire of madness. What can be bloody worse? Bloody Baroness bloody Ashton. Good Lord! The European Union are wheeling her out to resolve this carnage. Bloody High Representative for EU Foreign Affairs and Security. My God! Baroness bloody Ashton. She, that nobody ever elected, who happened to be a mate of the liar Tony rotten Blair, is now deep in contemplation on how to stop the fighting in the Ukraine. She's bloody useless and a great example of why I want out of this European Union. Nigel Farage reprimanded for criticising Baroness Ashton European Parliament, Strasbourg, France, 25.11.2009 Five years ago Nigel Farage complained about her appointment and everything he said made the European Parliament squirm. However Baroness Ashton has gone on to do very nicely and will continue to do so when she stands down at the the end of this year. Quote
bobby47 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Report Posted March 4, 2014 Well here we are. Teetering on the brink of madness and War. All you ever needed for war was a collapse. A collapse In either a political system, an economy or social order. That's it. Nothing else. The Ukraine ticks all these boxes and a lawfully democratic elected Government has been overthrown by a mix of people who have many different agendas, though they have two things in common. They want to cut the ties with Russia and they want the European Union. For my part, I don't see the Russians as the sinners in this debacle. They want to protect themselves, protect their Russian speaking Ukraine citizens and like all empires, they want to hand onto what they've got and maybe even increase their lands. They are doing exactly the same as us in the West. When we do it, it's a holy crusade and right is on our side. When the Russians do it, they're a threat to order and peace. If ever these two nations do start fighting, and lets face it, there's plenty of firepower and weapons floating around the Ukraine, it'll be a blood bath. These are tough, tough people's. Tougher than us and if it starts, and there's every likelihood it will, it'll be a slaughter. To think that Hereford Council were actively pursuing the Ukraine to come to Hereford, invest and build a weapons factory at Ross-on-Wye. It's true! Hereford Council wined and dined them for ages. The Hereford Times reported extensively on this issue. They said, 'it'll be a thousand jobs' and a great thing for Hereford. For some reason, the whole thing fell through and thank God it did. Mind, bloody Councillor Roger Phillips is deployed in Europe and its not beyond the realms of possibility that he might strike a deal with the Facists who, if they survive this forthcoming slaughter, may be keen to lay some bricks at Ross and allow us to build some bombs and bullets and deliver the Council promise, 'A thousand Jobs'. Quote
bobby47 Posted August 29, 2014 Author Report Posted August 29, 2014 Frightened? Well you bloody should be. The latest slither of good tidings to slip out is The Ukraine, the side we the West say are the good guys, the ones who we support rather than the bad side, well they are going to make representations to join N.A.T.O. Lovely! Just the thing we need to increase the political pressure on both sides of the argument. Just the bloody job. If ever there was a sure fire way of speeding up this apocalyptic conflict to a point of no return, its this bloody good idea. Mind, it ain't all bad bloody news is it. With two thirds of Ukraine still intact and desperate to join the European Union, it'll mean we in Herefordshire get our weapons manufacturing industrial plans back on track and we can all sit there on a production line filling a Twenty Thousand Pound Daisy Cutter with rusty nails and bits of old iron that we can salvage from High Town. God help us as we stumble along ignoring history and never giving any past mistakes a backward glance! Quote
megilleland Posted August 30, 2014 Report Posted August 30, 2014 Vladimir Putin has been warned that the crisis in Ukraine could be reaching the "point of no return" as European leaders said the EU was ready to defend its principles. Anyone ask us? The Guardian isn't allowing any comments on this or other similar topics. Even Milliband looks as though he is thoroughly behind Cameron and Clegg. Closer to home just down the road - West on alert for violence at Nato summit at Celtic Manor resort near Newport. Won't be surprised if Boris's water cannons will be trundling down the M4 to join in the party. Anyone going to nominate these dimwit politicians, obsessed with power, for an ice bucket water cannon spray. Should be a cosy affair at Celtic Manor this Thursday, deciding who is going to be sacrificed, in order to defend their principles. Quote
bobby47 Posted February 19, 2015 Author Report Posted February 19, 2015 So, what do you think now? War!!!!... Not such a stupid and fanciful proposition is it? Yes, it's getting worse and before to long the Russian people of Estonia and Latvia will become uneasy, they'll look to Mother Russia for help and there'll be more and more of these skirmishes by Russia into the affairs of Sovereign states that'll create chaos and havoc into what is and what always has been The Wild Wild East. And for what! The European Union hoovering up economic basket cases so that they could be delivered our version of freedom and democracy and taunt Mother Russia. And don't ever forget...this started when a lawfully elected democratic Government was booted from office by the Western Ukrainians who didn't want Russia and instead wanted the EU. This entire madness, that'll lead us all toward a 'War' is the fault of the expansionistic policies of the European Union. Instead of treating Mother Russia with a little respect and a modicum of awe, like the Versailles Treaty that destroyed the German people's spirit, the Russians have had their noses rubbed in the mud and they've reacted. Sadly, badly, and this great big brown bear of a nation is pushing the boundaries and discovering that we in the West are impotent and are now unable to resist them. Me? I wish that Berlin Wall had never come down!!! Yes!!! I mean it. As awful as it is to say it, I wish that Berlin Wall had never fallen down. Despite the Cold War and the threat of nuclear oblivion, back then, in those happy days, we knew we were safe, we knew they were behind that wall and there was a manageable way of dealing with our ideological differences. We, in the West are buggared!!! This is not going to be like the partition of Ireland where the West and the East of Ukraine learn to live side by side in a wobbly and uneasy sort of relationship. This is going to be War! And there is nothing that we can do to halt this slide toward yet another conflict created by European politicians who always think about the consequences of their actions much to late after they've created hostility and an 'us' against 'them' climate. megilleland Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 I think you could be right Bobby. It does appear the USA is the driving force in stirring up dissent and chaos across the globe and it looks as if they have been at it for a long time. They share the traits of psychopaths who are not sensitive to altruistic appeals, such as sympathy for their victims or remorse or guilt over their crimes. They possess the personality traits of lying, narcissism, selfishness, and vanity. These are the people to whom we have entrusted our fate. Is it any wonder that America [or UK?] is failing at home and world-wide?" More great observations and quotes to make you think the worst here at Third World Traveller. Quote
WirralPC Posted February 19, 2015 Report Posted February 19, 2015 The US poured $650 billion - yes... you did read that correctly... $650 billion into "defense" last year.So wherever a "threat" to Uncle Sam rears its head, anywhere on the planet, they'll be defending against this "clear and present danger" by landing either special forces covertly, the CIA covertly, "advisors" overtly or boots on the ground - the latter day euphemism for what used to be labelled 'an invading force' in the pre-9/11 days before singlespeak morphed into doublespeak. What's mainly driving it is the bullying global policeman's crazed desire to make and flog ever more complex weapons that slaughter people in large numbers and keep income streams flowing in and out with vested interests satisfied. They have to set up those contracts, and make those sales, and manage that media message... after creating the perfect conditions that call for their introduction.Which is why they once supported Bin Laden; they once supported Suharto; they once supported potato face or whatever his name was... Noriega in Central America... until even these friends apparently turned into a threat - one which urgently required a solution - weapons pouring in to eliminate them - delivered by fresh-faced youths who genuinely believe they are acting charitably because a. Their anger and aggression has been harnessed and channelled b. They've seen it all panning out in Hollywood films and this is their chance to be a hero c. They're thick as pigshitA sick, sick game of death is what it is... and we, the United Kingdom are up to our eyes in it because it makes money and allows filthy, murderous politicians like Tony Blair and his hangers on to look important, get rich, throw their weight around and be rewarded with respect and honours.
