Bill Thomas Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 While I understand and appreciate that there is an election coming up and each candidate has a budget with which they can use for their own campaigns, surely this is private property (I believe was purchased by Mr Cheung some years ago) so Cllr. Edwards has no right to advertise himself here without permission? Which I know for sure he will not have because the council have been trying to locate the Chinese owner for sometime.
Paul Jones Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Is this not cheating a little? I would not want my name associated with local toilets to be honest lol
Mick Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 I tend to agree with you Bill. It is a good catchment area being by the shops but I actually think it will be a disadvantage in the long run, I could think of catchphrase to write ha ha but I won't.
dippyhippy Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Something tells me he is not going to be.... flushed with success! I apologise now......
bobby47 Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Of all the places to hang your name on, the Widow chooses the closed down bogs. My God! And to make it worse and feed me he's stuck it directly between the Men and Women signs that adorn aforementioned bogs, which, given his second job performing as a Pantomime Dame where the sex of the performer is often questionable Phil either has a razor sharp sense of humour placing his name between the two sexes or he's been put on this earth to fuel my drug and ale fuelled crumbling mind. The bogs! My God that it's come to this Phil.

dippyhippy Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Brilliant Bobby! I think his chance of success is...... wait for it....... going down the pan! I'll get me coat.....
H.Wilson Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Brilliant Bobby! I think his chance of success is...... wait for it....... going down the pan! I'll get me coat..... he hee
bobby47 Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 'H' my dear and old friend, don't smile. There is something seriously wrong here. I mean, look at the elevation of that sign. It's not like he popped past and thought, 'I'll stick a sign up there'. There's been some forward planning to do this job. Unless Phil is eight foot bloody six, he's been sat at home, he's thought, 'I'll stick a sign up on the bogs', he's hurtled into his shed, grabbed the ladders, popped a lump hammer and a couple of nails into his bag and off he went. He's either carried the ladders down to the bogs and done the nailing or he's tethered the ladders to some mechanically propelled motor vehicle, driven down there and then done the nailing.
dippyhippy Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 Blimey! If Cllr Edwards stumbles across this thread, he's going to think we're all...... taking the p.iss !! (Which I guess.... we are!)
dippyhippy Posted April 18, 2015 Report Posted April 18, 2015 I guess we better quit with the bad jokes then folks. Somebody.... no names mentioned..... is getting rather tetchy!
twowheelsgood Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Perhaps it was an opponent, a double bluff.
WirralPC Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 He won't be flushed with success this election.
Amanda Martin Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Pmsl. Says it all. If this is the degree of insight he brings to his role as councillor .....
Pete Boggs Posted April 19, 2015 Report Posted April 19, 2015 Somebody.... no names mentioned..... is getting rather tetchy! He certainly is full of sh**. Unlike Mr Cheung's disused public karzi.
Ubique Posted April 20, 2015 Report Posted April 20, 2015 Was taught many years ago that the JOB is not finished until the PAPERWORK is done !
Colin James Posted April 21, 2015 Report Posted April 21, 2015 I see that there are a couple of voting signs for Mr Edwards in Southolme Road, is this not very close to the Polling Station and actually part of Belmont? So is he standing in Belmont or Newton Farm?
chrisbull Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Funny thing happened last week a friend of my wifes was helping Cllr Glenda Powell put up some signs to ask people to vote for her. With in half an hour of putting one up it was taken down and Cllr Phil Edwards was in the area putting leaflets through doors. Not saying it was him but very strange. Also they put one up in Brampton road and within ten minutes he was there putting a leaflet through there door and looking at her sign.
Alex Posted April 22, 2015 Report Posted April 22, 2015 Bloke is a tosser, can't stand him, my vote will be for CVP.
Roger Edwards Posted April 24, 2015 Report Posted April 24, 2015 Seeing the sign is in between Ladies & Gentlemen, I wonder if Mr Edwards is not sure, Ladies OR Gentlemen um!. So as any politician he has backed it both ways. Middlesex.
Adrian symonds Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 I will not be at all surprised if it all goes down the pan Best place for the Tories
Colin James Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 Best place for the Tories He is not a Tory, he is Independant
Adrian symonds Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 He is not a Tory, he is Independant Oh. they are not much better, they seem to get into bed with the tories once elected.
Glenda Powell Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 Adrian, what don't you understand about the Independents, we don't get into bed with anyone. The Tories last year asked the Independents to go into coalition with them to get them out of the mess they got us in. The answer was a definite NO! and by the way you have gone off subject of this post.
Colin James Posted April 25, 2015 Report Posted April 25, 2015 Oh. they are not much better, they seem to get into bed with the tories once elected. Can you qualify that statement? I think you are wrong to be fair.
Denise Lloyd Posted April 26, 2015 Report Posted April 26, 2015 For what it's worth I think if any party gets into bed with the Tories it is IOC = sorry to go off topic and upset some of the posters on here!!
