ragwert Posted September 15, 2015 Report Posted September 15, 2015 Two instruments to be installed to monitor how many vehicles use Kingsway and vehicles that break the 30mph limit. This will hopefully lead to Kingsway being an access only road with a no entry sign put up at the Old School lane end to stop rat runners.
Adrian symonds Posted September 15, 2015 Report Posted September 15, 2015 Good idea, but I can not see it working, look at when there is a football match on and the amount of cars that park in kingsway then. The acess only rule will go out of the door, then you got the co-op, people uses kingsway to get to that. We have still heard nothing about the double yellows by the Co-op, the sooner that happens the better
ragwert Posted September 15, 2015 Author Report Posted September 15, 2015 People who have vehicles in Kingsway pay on average £50 more for their insurance.Found that out when I looked for insurance for my father in law and accidentally put in my address, changed it to his and it was £64 more.I think the no entry sign is a great idea

It will take years to do anyway, they taking long enough to paint some double yellows outside the co-op, something that should have been done years ago. How on earth no one have been hurt there I don't know.
