Glenda Powell Posted December 19, 2015 Report Posted December 19, 2015 Nick no longer a councillor, but a few discreet words in his ex-Tory colleagues ears would do the trick I am sure, and it obviously did. More than half of the planning committee are Tory, so he couln't lose. As the saying goes " its not what you know, but who you know". Quote
Pete Boggs Posted December 19, 2015 Report Posted December 19, 2015 As for NN, I have no idea whether he was able to influence his brother's planning consent but I do know that he and his pal, Keyte, caught a considerable cold over the HUFC affair. They rather foolishly entered into a vanity project which they thought would be 'a bit of fun'. They were seduced by the idea of strutting around as camel-coated Directors and enjoying the perks of being associated with a famous football club. Sadly for them, that is not how it worked out and both lost serious sums of money propping the thing up. You'd need a heart of stone not to laugh. I'm glad the club is doing well though after the doldrums of the last couple of years. Quote
