Latest update in the HT:

 

A BODY recovered from the River Wye this morning has been identified by police as that of a missing Hereford man - last seen just before Christmas.

 
A specialist search and rescue team working with police and ambulance crews discovered the body this morning in Braemar Gardens, Hereford - it is  said to be that of Vincent Quinn.
 
 
A West Mercia Police statement said: "Vincent's next of kin have been informed and we await formal identification.
 
 
"The body was discovered at 11am this morning by specialist search and rescue teams.
 
"Vincent was last seen on Monday, December 21 in Pomona Place, Hereford."
 
Police are still keen to speak to anyone who saw or spoke to Mr Quinn since December 21. Anyone who did should call 101 and quote incident 181s of January 10, 2016.
      
The river path, popular with walkers was cordened off for some hours earlier today. It is now back open.
