Colin James Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 We have had some very strong winds hit our county recently and I noticed this tree leaning over in Belmont. It will not take much more for it to collapse, so they will need to be quick if they want to save it. Can BB upright this tree and put some kind of support in place or is it already doomed? Quote
H.Wilson Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 Hopefully that can sort out this problem before the tree dies. Roots looks like they are still ok but it will need attention sooner rather than later. Quote
Alex Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 Wow great photo, if they are quick they may save it. Where are the tree huggers now when you need them lmao Quote
Paul Jones Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 BB can easily remedy this leaning tree. Quote
ragwert Posted January 29, 2016 Report Posted January 29, 2016 BB can easily remedy this leaning tree. Yeah, probably like this Quote
Jango1969 Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 Brace the tree in that position. Advertise the Leaning Tree Of Belmont. Works in Pisa with the tower. Quote
Bill Thomas Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 They want to cut down trees in Edgar St for development and a whole load of tree huggers appear armed with banners, video and scarves. A single tree in Belmont in need of rescuing and hardly any comments or views and not a single tree hugger in sight..funny that. Quote
Adrian Bridges Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 Colin Reported this to Balfour Beatty via email so hopefully should get sorted next week Quote
Tracy Bowes Posted January 30, 2016 Report Posted January 30, 2016 Hi Colin I reported to BBLP via their on line system, unfortunately haven't been able to login until now to update you. Also, there are places on Herefordshire Council Website where people can log issues with trees, roads, graffiti etc. Here are some links and via these pages it is automatically passed to BBLP for review and action. Litter bin issues: Graffiti: Overgrown hedge/trees: And all of the other issues are listed here: Quote
Colin James Posted January 31, 2016 Author Report Posted January 31, 2016 Tracy, I have added all links you sent to mean your previous comments above. Quote
Colin James Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Posted February 2, 2016 Too late! I said they needed to be quick. Quote
Colin James Posted February 2, 2016 Author Report Posted February 2, 2016 Looks like rotten roots Colin They look okay up close, maybe it is the angle of the photograph. Quote

I regularly pass items I've reported several times over years - nothing ever done. I know all the reports with Amey were simply deleted the day they packed up, which didn't help anyone. Quote

I know that feeling, all we can do my friend is continue and hope that they start picking up the baton each time. Quote
