These are the same owners as Biedronka and Zabka! This woman has small shares from my understanding, so they are using her to obtain the licence. I hope that the council see through this and it is refused! How does one go about objecting to this?

Not sure if the Council have powers to insist that the shop name is changed , unless of course the new proposed licensee is Polish "

No but they can refuse to give yet another licence waiting to be abused. The name of the shop has nothing to do with the licence application, it is more about who owns the stores and I think you will find the owners are still Mr Zardashit Karem Salh, he has just enrolled a new business partner to front the application. The name used in the case is legit national company in Poland. Kubus is a branded carrot juice in Poland, they have even stolen the logo!

The applicant here is Agnieszka Gizak which sounds Polish to me. Wouldn't it be a bit strange for her to team up with Kurds?

Anyhow .....  HSklep Ltd. changed it's trading address from Office 2, 13 Wilson Chambers Hereford to 22, Eign Gate, Hereford on 10.02.16. This is the Kubus shop.

Zabka is No.16 Eign Gate.

Roger, we know this girl personally and yes she is Polish and has purchased some shares in this business recently, so Mick is correct and yes we think it is a bit of an odd set up too as do many others. As far as I am aware, they already sell alcohol here so slightly confused over the application. Kabus, Biedronka and Zabka are all owned by the same people, (Kurds) with the added convenient new business partner at Kubus.

We are back to where we were before. Ms. Gizak is probably clean as a whistle on UK records. As was Mr. Sahl until his recent run in.

What will happen if a connection between the new applicant and the old Zabka regime is presented at the hearing? It was tried last time and was rejected ~ presumably as Mr. Sahl had no record.

The booze licence must lead to a projected decent revenue return as it would't attract an application otherwise. The returns on dodgy tobacco must be higher tho as why risk the booze licence?

It's probably just a risk/return juggling act with all these shops.

Yes she is and I agree with you, lets see if the council see through this on this application, otherwise we are back to square one.

The application is still within the 28 day consultation period. So if anyone has any representations for or against the application and based on the licensing objectives they can submit them direct to the licensing authority

Additionally if anyone has evidence or information about illegal activities with regards to counterfeit/illegal alcohol or tobacco sales at any shop or private premises - licensed or otherwise- they can report it to the council Trading Standards, the police or to

Crimestoppers.

That is the Corporate spiel being generated. The shortcut is to post the stuff on here ~ which the people you mention will feel obliged to read anyway out of curiosity. If they can't be bothered then it's their loss.

Corporate spiel my axxxs

Where's the public duty of reporting information of crimes and who did it. Gossip on a social media site is not evidence and may just be that pure gossip without foundation

You know how difficult it is to prove they are selling dodgy fags and stuff but they still continue! So all they have to do then each time their licence for booze (which is their main income no doubt hence why they dot won't to loose it) is revoked or they end up in court, is change the business owner and start all over again?

Having listened to the article I am not surprised in the least. Interesting how the locals say the area has changed and the inability to stop the counterfeit trade due to bad legislation.

However in the same area - The Daily Express 30th November 2018

£76m lottery winner has 48 hours to claim prize

THE search for the winner of a £76million lottery jackpot intensified last night as the deadline for claiming on a missing ticket approaches.

The winning ticket was bought in Lincolnshire - in seaside resort Skegness or market town Boston - and the £76,369,806 sum is the largest ever unclaimed prize.

The winner will be able to buy plenty of counterfeit cigarettes (only £3.50 a packet) and open a chain of outlets to distribute them.
