Slim Posted July 24, 2016 Report Posted July 24, 2016 Because, Ipusseycat, the tax payers in England pay for road repairs in Wales. Plus free prescriptions, Police Forces, Social Services and wage top-ups for DVLA staff who had to move to Swansea. All this because of the soft government pandering to the Welsh Assembly. And don't get me started on paying double for road markings in Welsh and English, when 94% of the residents of the Principality cannot speak their own native language. I am not Racialist or Nationalist , just realistic and trying to answer your question. Quote
ragwert Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 What do they say? A few pics I took this morning Quote
twowheelsgood Posted July 25, 2016 Author Report Posted July 25, 2016 Crikey! A few pics I took this morning Crikey! I thought you were talking about a few posters stuck to lampposts - not full blown expensive banners! These would cost £hundreds each - to what end? Another pointless box ticking and money spending exercise. Quote
Maggie May Posted July 25, 2016 Report Posted July 25, 2016 I find the little Hereford walking & Cycling map really helpful and handy to keep in your pocket, and often have a spare for someone else if they want to know their way around Hereford. Surely staff handing some of these maps out would make more people think about walking & cycling much more than these big banners which actually have little or no information on them. Could they spend the same money on cutting back the undergrowth on the cycle paths please. Quote
Denise Lloyd Posted July 26, 2016 Report Posted July 26, 2016 I am not a cycle person for various reasons but I think I have missed the point here but why is it just cycle rides for women? Another ridiculous waste of money but it probably meets some criteria for providing "safe rides for women" mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Quote
