Glenda Powell Posted June 5, 2019 Report Posted June 5, 2019 hillbilly... I said the Alliance wouldn't last, Bob Matthews always wanted an Eastern bypass, but to give up being the biggest group on the council just because they wouldn't give Bernard Hunt a cabinet post smacks with 'throwing your toys out of the pram' because he couldn't get his own way. He has now put the Tories back in charge with them being the biggest group on the council with 12 councillors. The Alliance fought the election on lies, their main aim was to get rid of the Tories according to all their leaflets. The electorate should demand another election, and start again, they have let down the people of Herefordshire!! Quote
hillbilly Posted June 5, 2019 Author Report Posted June 5, 2019 still two elections to go (Ross and Whitecross) which may or may not change the status quo again.. Quote
Glenda Powell Posted June 5, 2019 Report Posted June 5, 2019 If I remember correctly the Whitecross was an councillor for IOC, the one for Ross was either an Independent or UKIP, unfortunately the man died while he was canvassing. Quote
Glenda Powell Posted June 7, 2019 Report Posted June 7, 2019 I see the council has gone against Bob Matthews wishes by going with the western route for the bypass, In my opinion we just should have two more river crossing that would be better because at the moment the road would be 'a road to no where' which I said at councila few years ago. Glenda Powell Posted June 8, 2019 Report Posted June 8, 2019 The by-election for Ross North was won by the Lib Dems it in the HT, no mention of who won Whitecross though. Quote
