Hereford Voice Posted April 9, 2020 Report Posted April 9, 2020 An application to determine if prior approval is required for a change of use to form a 'community hub' at the former International Food store in Commercial Road Hereford. Project will include: a cafe/sandwich bar; a community larder; affordable clothing outlet; meeting and counselling rooms with all profits going to ETHOS - reg. no. 1177809. Quote
megilleland Posted April 10, 2020 Report Posted April 10, 2020 No news of the Community Centre that was planned as part of the Oval Development, but appears to have been dropped now all the houses have been built. Was it supposed to be built on the corner opposite the Mermaid where the builders had their compound? This facility would have been useful to this part of Hereford especially as they are going to build more houses on Beattie Avenue. Quote

If so, it might be worth a question to Planning (and Keepmoat), although there is not usually a time limit to finish a development once it has started. Quote
Paul Jones Posted April 10, 2020 Report Posted April 10, 2020 A community hub in the centre of the city sounds like a good idea to me. Let's hope everything is straight forward so they can open asap Quote
