Hereford Voice Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 Planning for Banner Advert on Street Sign Refused. A planning application was submitted to advertise a Fish & Chip shop on a 'banner advertisement' to be positioned under a street sign located on the corner off, Springfield Road and the C1131 Withies Road, Withington, Hereford, The advertising banner would have been placed on a privately owned boundary wall on the entrance house of Springfield Road. Reason for refusal: Quote It is considered that the advance warning advertisement sign is detrimental to the visual amenity of the street. Were the planning dept right to refuse? Frank Smith Posted April 23, 2020 Report Posted April 23, 2020 They are right to refuse otherwise this will set a precident for others to do the same Quote
Denise Lloyd Posted April 25, 2020 Report Posted April 25, 2020 Having said I am often appalled by the amount of advertising banners or whatever they are called that are adorning the big white house on the right hand side(as in entering Hereford) of the Tesco roundabout Belmont Road - A465. I do not know if they are still there have not sat opposite the house queuing to get into Hereford of late Quote
