4.5 Tonnes of Litter Removed from A 40 in Herefordshire

Well done to the Herefordshire Council street cleansing teams who have been making the most of the lower levels of traffic on the network on the A40. In just 3 days, 4.5 tonnes of litter and road debris was removed by their sweepers and litter pickers. 

Please help keep it this way, take your litter home!

Good work but an unbelievable amount of rubbish!

Not really. They could pick this amount up everyday in Herefordshire.

Noticeably less litter around during the lockdown but come next week when KFC and Macdonalds open the litter will reappear.  Did I dream it or is their a move to print the reg no on the container so that it can be traced back when the driver chucks his litter!

That's a good idea, but still open to abuse 1 can be altered to a 7 or 9, 3 to a 8, 7 to a 9 and so on.

Yes it's disturbing really, I wish people would use the bins provided or take their rubbish home
