Hereford Voice Posted August 22, 2020 Report Posted August 22, 2020 Herefordshire Council have removed the ugly red barriers along Broad St, King St and Bridge Street and replaced them will more aesthetically pleasing plants, which are much better. All this is necessary so pedestrians can socially-distance and cyclists can ride their bikes safely. These measures are necessary in the fight against this dreadful Coronavirus pandemic as directed and funded by central Government. Once again the city is busy with people which is great to see. 1 Quote
Aylestone Voice Posted August 22, 2020 Report Posted August 22, 2020 What an embarrassment. The gormless Council say we need extra wide pavements for social distancing. Firstly how many people do you see feeling they need to use this extra space? Secondly why if the space is need do you half block it up with planters? Thirdly a row of planters with just random shrubs that BBLP have lying about - I will put their survival rate at 20% What an utter shambles 1 Quote

Damned if they do and damed if they don't. Look at the massive overspend and unacceptable money that went on the Blue School St fiasco and the road to nowhere ! That was the previous administration, nobody is giving any of this a chance, at least this council are listening and making changes Quote
