Hereford Voice Posted May 23, 2021 Report Posted May 23, 2021 E-Scooters | We have been asked this question many times. Why in some cities and towns across the UK these E-Scooters are completely legal to use and yet in other cities and according to the law, they are illegal to use in public areas. We noticed these in Kettering earlier this week.. Quote
Hereford Voice Posted May 23, 2021 Author Report Posted May 23, 2021 Some very mixed messages here, people must be very confused as to what they can and cannot do legally... Quote
megilleland Posted May 23, 2021 Report Posted May 23, 2021 This came up here: Who can use them and where? Quote
ragwert Posted May 23, 2021 Report Posted May 23, 2021 As long as there is a min age and you have to hold a provisional licence or higher that can be given penalty points I don't see a problem. One problem I can see is that someone will start copying legal scooters to make them look exactly like the hire ones. Quote

Steve Major Posted May 24, 2021 Report Posted May 24, 2021 We used them on holiday and they are brilliant. Bikes on pavements are more dangerous. I hope that the make them legal. Quote
