Unfortunately, we never quite managed a full year... One of the posts at the back of the retail park was damaged by a lorry searier this yeaar and has not been repaired, also the store mangers/supervisors locked the gates for about the forst 3 weeks and the no longer bother, this is the result... I collected my mrs from work at the retail park last night and we saw several young drivers pulling onto the site and parking and I said to her then, I wonder how much litter we will see in the morning... Herefordshire Council has won an enforcement case against two builders found guilty of fly tipping by the River Lugg. Samuel Cooper, 31, from Hereford and Matthew Taylor, 28, from Staunton-on-Wye, were both found guilty of failing to transfer controlled waste to an authorised person at Hereford Magistrates’ Court on Friday 4 August 2017. Mr Cooper was also found guilty of transporting the waste without a waste carriers licence. Mr Cooper received fines totalling £2382.50 and Mr Taylor received fines totalling £1882.50. The fly tipped building waste – which weighed in at 720kg - was reported to Herefordshire Council by an Environment Agency Officer at the River Lugg, which is a site of special scientific interest and conservation. Kay Champion, who heads the Environment Agency’s West Midlands waste crime team, said: The maximum penalty for fly tipping is a £50,000 fine and/ or 5 years imprisonment. Marc Willimont, Herefordshire Council’s Head of Regulatory and Development Management Services, said: The Community Protection Team will investigate fly tipping cases that are reported via the Herefordshire Council website or by calling 01432 261761. UPDATE: Unfortunaltey following todays meeting it looks like everyone has lost their job.

Sad news.

A redundancy payout is pretty poor in mosts cases, especially if you have only been working there for 6 months.

The police have moved this person from the dangerous tiny grass verge and now they are on the roundabout Nice of them to leave even more litter behind for someone else to pick up after them

It appears that we have yet another idiot camper in our midsts...only this one must a thrill seeker to be camping right on the edge of the dual carriageway. You see, if you do not move these people immediately it just encourages more idiots to follow.

It is not sounding good from the reports I am hearing. There is an emergency meeting next Tuesday from my understanding but potentially almost 200 jobs at risk here.

I agree with the others, this is clearly a dangerous place being the busiest junction in the city, regardless of whether or not any accident occurred during her occupation, it would of only been a matter of time for either her or someone else.

Well unlike the HT I try to refrain from editing posts as much as possible. I work full time and I cannot monitor every single topic and post, I rely on members hitting the REPORT button that said, I have no problem with people having a disagreement and arguing to a degree but some comments do come across as more childish than anything. his has very little to do with the way we manage the site. You get this on all forums and social media, it is called 'Freedom Of Speech' we have rules/guidelines in place and most members over the past 10 years or more have been pretty good in my experience and I have very rarely had to remove a comment or hand out warnings, which in itself speaks volumes about Hereford Voice.

I see this lady appeared in court this week according to this article in the Hereford Times It appears that there may a little more to add to this story yet, so I have unlocked it.

Me ex wife is an estate agent and I am informed they are as busy as ever, internet sales have been around for sometime now but there will always be people who still prefer the personal service. A tattoo and a coffee are not something that you can buy online thankfully, so while one trade my loose out another will gain...That said, one of my biggest gripes is when shop staff constantly tell me if something is not in stock, I can always buy it online and I always tell them, if they keep telling people this they will soon be out of a job.
