These flats have not been up 2 years yet and already they have had to repair the roof, now I see mould appearing in different areas on the external walls, see photographs I took this morning. These flats are starting to look a little shabby already, I wonder how they will look in 5 years time...

Graham is a good guy and I wish him and his family well, when they move to Shropshire.

Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Police & Crime
I wear a stab vest when I am working security and that would take some penetrating however, there are different qualities you will appreciate but I thought that the officer was stabbed in the neck? -
Most cities have these, so I can see this becoming very popular, especially for those people who work shifts or suffer insomnia
-
Pity you didn't think to take a screen shot but it is very sad if the media behave in this unfair/untrue manner
-
Does anyone know what is happening, nothing listed in planning applications.

I disagree, they seem to manage across the rest of Europe ok. -

I know a couple of Met Police officers and please believe me when I tell you that they have foiled at least 12-13 terror plots just in the last few weeks! -
Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Police & Crime
You cannot guarantee anyones safety whether armed or not however, I stand by my previous comments that I believe an armed police officer will be able to react to a SUDDEN incident better if armed. We will have to agree to disagree I guess, lets hope I don't have to remind you again in the not to distant future of this debate. -
Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police

Well maybe 5 years ago I may of agreed with you Cambo but not anymore. Personally, I do not feel safe as it is and I would feel a lot better if all police were armed, why not? -
Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police

he was UNARMED! See Sky News and also here: http://www.itv.com/news/2017-03-22/gunfire-heard-outside-parliament-entrance/ However, he may still be alive had he of been armed... -
Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Police & Crime
So why is it not like that is Poland, Spain, France, Ukraine, Russia and the rest of Europe? The difference in the US is that the general public can carry weapons as it is in the constitution unlike in Europe, so your arguments is flawed from the offset. -
Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Police & Crime
You are correct it will not prevent any terrorist attack however, a police officer with a gun has more chance of saving lives by shooting terrorists dead, but right now they have to waste valuable time waiting for an armed response team to arrive, while this is fairly quick in places like London there could still valuable seconds wasted and if you are in a smaller town or city then an even longer wait for armed backup. Besides all of this, what about police officers being able to protect themselves! Police all over Europe carry sidearms without problems and I for one would feel a lot safer if they carried them here in the UK. -
Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police

I have just read that It looks like the attacker was Abu Izzadeen, who was well known to the authorities, and is a well known Islamic extremist. -

Terrorist Attack in London - Arm ALL British Police

Lets hope that nobody you love is caught up in an incident then Martin. The world has changed and there are more nutters wanting to harm us! Next time it could be in some small peaceful hamlet where there are no armed police and too far away from an armed response team to react quick enough. Beside the potential terrorists attacks how about the police being able to protect themselves, I think at least they should have the choice considering they are on the front line. -
It was waiting to happen but unfortunately there has now been a terrorist attack in London. Westminster is on lockdown after a terror attack where a knifeman ploughed a car into pedestrians before stabbing a policeman outside the Houses of Parliament. Two people have died and a number of people have suffered "catastrophic" injuries after in the incident where a number of people were mowed down on Westminster Bridge by the attacker. Witnesses described hearing people screaming and seeing bodies scatter as the car is understood to have mounted the pavement just in front of the Houses of Parliament. It is time to arm ALL our police here in the UK if you agree please sign the petition HERE

I have ended our petition today and have we have collected a huge 3186 signatures that will be handed in this week by Glenda Vaughan-Powell on our behalf, lets hope they take a good long look at this and make the right decision.

In my experience you will generally receive several threatening letters from debt recovery companies in the hope that this is enough to encourage people to pay these colossal amounts! I have always just ignored them all, in fact, I would welcome a court case because any decent judge would not accept these ridiculous so called penalty notice amounts either. I had a few of these threatening letters from some debt recovery company that Corperate Services had sent my details to ofter I ignored their threats after parking for 10 mins outside the Furniture Importers in Blackfriars St at 7.30 one night (when they were closed) apparently they had put up some signage, which I had not seen at the time. Eventually, those threatening letters of court action stopped, of course.

How much!! This is an obscene amount of money to spend on a website! I would of questions it had it of been £60k but quarter of a £Million pounds? I know quite a bit about websites having run several for over 20 years and I cannot believe this figure, I thought the council had no money? They cannot afford to maintain the grass, tree's and bushes in our close but they can find £260k, this is unreal it really is.

Yes I just read that earlier. A flood defence wall (similar to that on the river path alongside the Saracens Head) 1m in height will also be built around the site. I think they are a bit optimistic showing so few cars in their sketch though, they must of drawn this at 5am in August
