Junction Changes at Station Approach Hereford. The City Link Road works at the Station Approach end of the scheme are progressing well and Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd will be changing the priorities for vehicles exiting the railway station forecourt by removing the mini round-about to assist with construction work. From the 8 March vehicles coming from the forecourt area will ‘give-way’ to traffic coming to and from the station parking area. In order to undertake this work Station Approach will require a lane closure for traffic turning onto Commercial Road from 7pm until 5am from 9-11 March inclusive. From 16 March access into Morrison’s car park for Station Approach traffic coming from the Aylestone Hill junction will also re-open. Exit from the car park will continue to be via the far exit near the Royal Mail building. Herefordshire Council would like to apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience whilst we deliver the new road.

Mayor Jim Kenyon Suggest Additional Bridges
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Open Forum
We have had several actual meetings with them at the Town Hall. John Harrington and Jim were both present, they were going to do a simulation, I have the guys from the HA names somewhere Paul Butterfield or something like that was one of them. -
Mayor Jim Kenyon Suggest Additional Bridges
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Open Forum
Although the traffic light in Hereford are my biggest bug bare as you are all aware, an additional bridge is essential too! The population of Hereford has grown over the past 40 years and yet we still only have the Greyfriars bridge for all of the traffic going through Hereford, this is ridiculous, we definitely need at least one more bridge if not two. Something else that would help would be if they turned off some of these stupid traffic lights! It has worked in other cities yet we cannot even seen to get a lights out trial here? It is clear that the traffic flows much better when the lights are out of order. We need roundabout's not traffic lights, let's keep the traffic flowing. -
Mayor Jim Kenyon has put forward his idea's of additional river crossings for Hereford to help reduce the city's congestion problems. See HT article below: I was unable to attend the meeting on Friday due to work commitments however I understand that only 11 voted in favour with 34 voting against it and 1 abstention. Okay let's start naming those who objected for a start! A lot of this is more to do with with some councillors not liking others! It is a complete joke and these councillors should be working for the people of Hereford and not their own ego's! Fair play to Jim Kenyon for trying...

Apparently, the Spread Eagle opens next Saturday

Yes car park is blocked as I drove past 40 mins ago

An over reaction in my opinion it was only the trim on the roof. Annoying HGV drivers driving through the alternative country lanes not suitable for HGV's at Bridge Sollars don't help either.

Took this early in the morning a few weeks back from the Victoria Bridge Sunrise over Widemarsh common this morning

You could also look at the illuminated sign on the Mila shop on the Belmont Road, never ever saw planning for that either and it is bright!

This is all quite worrying for the long term, time will tell.

Which I appreciate however, if my surgery is unable to see me, which was the case on my only visit last year this is my only option? Either way ny surgery has a cost yes? If my surgery had been able to squeeze me in for example there would still have been a cost, so is this cost the same or does it cost my surgery more if I use the walk-in centre. Finally, they must have known this when the centre was originally set up I guess.

This is the 3rd or 4th time they have tried to close the Asda Walk-In Centre, it is clear to me what their goal is however, hopefully this petition may go some way to help prevent it's closure a little longer, we have almost 3000 signatures. Regarding waiting times, I only used the centre once last year and I waited no more than 20 minutes to be seen by a doctor.

It looks like they are trying to close this walk in centre again! Please sign the original petition

This is really a separate topic, so I have split this and created this separate topic for you and pointed to the original discussion.

Courtyard protest.
Colin James replied to adamski's topic in Edgar Street Grid and Courtyard Theatre
Another excuse for a protest, this time they are complaining about the first Defence and Security Expo being held in Hereford. -
They are knocking it down? So what is the plan, will it just become another pool but without the diving boards?
-
They didn't know who he was or where he had come from so there was no way of checking any tickets I guess. I just watched this program, discussing what people can do to their now family!
