9 Months Since Accident On Notorious Hereford Junction
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Open Forum
It will be two years since this post was taken out and still nothing has been done! I have again today reported this through the Herefordshire Council's 'Report It' section as you can see. I wonder if this will get things moving? -
The Oval toilets were finally demolished early this morning, I managed to take a few photographs and video

Hereford Library will reopen on Tuesday 31 January 2017 following the phase one completion of building work at Broad Street. Further work on the development of the building will follow. Customers can look forward to a refreshed ground floor interior, including new meeting rooms and accessible public toilets. The county library will also welcome WISH (Wellbeing Information and Signposting for Herefordshire) which will operate from the main library when it reopens. The temporary library at Hereford Town Hall will close on Saturday 21 January to enable the move back to Broad Street. Customers can use the Town Hall drop box to return library items during the period of closure.

The Old House House Hereford is having a refurbishment. The beautiful 400-year-old Old House in Hereford will be undergoing a short period of refurbishment in 2017. It will temporarily close from 31 January before re-opening on 1 April as the Black and White House museum. Instagram | Hereford Voice Situated in the heart of Hereford, the museum is a remarkably well preserved example of a 17th Century timber-framed building, surrounded by the commercial centre of the city. Since 1929 the museum has given visitors to the county a fascinating insight into daily life in Jacobean times. Once the building re-opens as the Black and White House museum, visitors will be treated to new exciting displays, activities and a new shop with attractive merchandising.

This is Cllr Chris Chappell's ward and I have sent him a pm, so hopefully he will come back to me or respond within this thread, failing that, we will have to make a bit more noise I guess.

Hi Slim, yes I found your original topic here posted in July 2015. This was Cllr Chris Chappell's reply to you: Clearly this play area has not been inspected on a regular basis as Chris has suggested because it has been 17 months since you first reported this to him and it appears that NOTHING has been done about it. I have sent Chris a pm tonight.

I read the ht article which claims that since HBID starring counting at the beginning of 2016 there are now 44 empty shops. My response to the discussion on the ht website is as follows:

Extended lease for Hereford FC. Herefordshire Council and Hereford Football Club have negotiated an extended lease term which will assure Hereford FC’s tenancy for a minimum of 10 years from the commencement date. The club’s stadium and surrounding area continue to improve following the opening of the new shopping development and the construction of the new City Link Road. There is also an opportunity for the redevelopment of the Blackfriars Terrace end, as part of the proposed ‘Urban Village’ project. This would mean a new spectator stand and facilities, alongside other retail outlets, and would see the stadium being returned to four sides.

Nigel Farage tweeted yesterday, 'Terrible news from Berlin but no surprise. Events like this will be the Merkel legacy. Jo Cox's husband replied, "Blaming politicians for the actions of extremists? That's a slippery slope Nigel" My response to Mr Cox, thats like saying, "The zookeeper let the lions out of their cage in the zoo & these lions killed people but it is not the zookeeper fault eh?"

Plans to Convert How Caple Grange to Boarding House
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Planning
Last time I went there must of been 30 odd years ago, to a wedding, never been there since. -
This is very sad, it appears that the Polish owned lorry was hijacked and the driver killed before this terrible incident took place at the German Christmas Market. Apparently the lorry had a huge cargo of steel. I have to agree with the previous comments, Anglea Merkel definately opened pandoras box letting so many people into Germany and Europe.
