We have had some very strong winds hit our county recently and I noticed this tree leaning over in Belmont. It will not take much more for it to collapse, so they will need to be quick if they want to save it. Can BB upright this tree and put some kind of support in place or is it already doomed?

Wealthiest regions??? UK National Debt Surpassed £1 Trillion Mainstream media headlines today are focused on Britain's record national debt, which just surpassed £1 trillion, a figure that can only exponentially increase unless the entire mechanism of Government finance is overhauled. The truth however is much worse, factoring in all liabilities including state and public sector pensions, the real national debt is closer to £4.8 trillion, some £78,000 for every person in the UK.

I agree with bobby47, I think unfortunately it is only a matter of time before the GP Centre closes, however, I have set up a petition to see what can be done locally to keep the walk in centre open PETITION HERE. (I have address it to the NHS but that is very general, I can edit that once I know the target of our petition) All we can do is add our support to keeping the centre open and hopefully put pressure on the powers that be to reconsider.

I have heard from several reliable sources that the GP walk-in centre at Asda is to be closed. Please SIGN the petition here Cllr Glenda Powell managed to get over 700 signatures on a petition to prevent it being moved to the A&E department at the hospital back in 2010. (See this topic)

I managed to take this early this morning of the new chippy. I noticed their opening hours on the door and they close at 9pm, is this quite early for a chippy or is it just me? -

Well that could be down to the time of day but trust me she is very busy, in fact she is looking for staff, if you know of any qualified hair stylists, get them to pop in.

We have plenty of members who also choose not to comment but often email me. Nobody has to use this forum, maybe you would prefer the HT where it is a free for all. There is commenting about Hereford and there is consistant moaning... Back to the empty shop topic please.

You will not be able to buy Incandescent bulbs much longer. I have a new LED TV and it runs on 68 watts. I changed all my household bulbs to LED and am saving a small fortune, it is the best thing I have done. My outside security floodlight used to be 500 watts, it is now LED and only 30 watts and much brighter.
