  1. If you fancy a bit of Northern Soul, Ska 'New Years Eve', then have a look at The Plough Whitecross Road.
  2. There were many rumours of him being a police informer and also of bodies being disposed of at the breakers yard over the years. I remember him when he used a CB Radio back in the late 70's and early 80's and was involved in some financial scandal at the Hereford 1-4 Club held every week at the Crystal Rooms.
  3. Oak furnitureland are opening a new store in Hereford. The new branch will be located at Holmer Road in the unit previously occupied by Next. Oak Furniture Land head office is in Wiltshire and they currently have 67 branches nationwide, assuming the the new Hereford store will be branch number 68. There are several vacancies available throughout the store, details of job opportunities can be found HERE Remember where you heard it first.
  4. Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Hereford CCTV?

  7. I think you were referring to this topic...
  8. Dippy, a hand ban will follow, pretty sure of that. As for punishment from my experience, unfortunately, they will probably end up with just a slap on the wrist...
  9. For the record and having worked on the doors in Commercial Road Hereford for many years and from information I have received today, I can confirm that the doorman that was injured was at Wetherspoons. A male had been asked to leave earlier. He was outside having a domestic with his misses and he grabbed her around the throat, the doorman stepped in to stop it. The male grabbed the doorman's radio and smashed it into the doormans face badly injuring him. The male was restrained and then the female kicked off with the doorman. Both were arrested.
  10. THE BEEFY BOYS OPEN RESTAURANT IN HEREFORD Following a second consecutive Top 10 finish at The World Food Championships in America, The Beefy Boys will soon open their long awaited restaurant in Herefords Old Market Development. On Monday 28th December, the restaurant specialising in Burgers, Street Food and Cocktails will start its soft launch - with priority seating and booking going to those lucky enough to have purchased a Beefy Boy Golden ticket. Those that didn't manage to pick up one of the sold out tickets will be seated on a first come first served basis. The Beefy Boys - Murf (Anthony Murphy), Christian Williams, Daniel Mayo-Evans and Lee Symonds - have achieved legendary status for their grilling skills; their huge jump in the rankings at the 2015 World Food Championships was the biggest in the Competition's history and they have finished in the Top 10 for two years in a row. They also recently won The UK Burger Battle in Birmingham, and boast an international fanbase. As proud Herefordians, they are keen to support local - sourcing their ingredients, branding and designs locally, from fantastic producers such as Neil Powell Butchers, Peter Cooks Bread and Wye Valley Brewery. They've even become the official roller derby helmet sponsors to Hereford Roller Girls. Its great to be the first independent restaurant on the old market development, said Murf. We've sourced locally as much as possible from the food down to the restaurant itself; all of the design and artwork comes from Hereford College of Arts graduates, and the metal work, tables, chairs, bar and seats have come from local companies too. We've got a connection to the city that you just don't get with a chain. Theres a real food revolution that is happening in Herefordshire right now, its awesome to be part of it and we can't wait for people to see the new restaurant. For more information about The Beefy Boys, visit thebeefyboys.com, or follow them on Facebook and Twitter for regular updates. ****************ENDS**************** Good luck lads from all at Hereford Voice

  17. Christian Bagley was killed on Father's Day in Hereford six months ago today. West Mercia Police have today released two images of people they would like to speak to. Do you recognise yourself in these images? If so, you could hold vital information which could help the police find who killed Christian. With Christmas just around the corner help the police to give Christians family the justice they deserve. If you have any information call the incident room on 0800 056 0944 or call 101. £10,000 is being offered for information which leads to the conviction of those responsible for Christians death. #speakupforchristian
  18. Clive Joyce was not editor for long which was a shame, nice guy. Enjoy your retirement.
  19. Blah blah blah, they announced about Hook Mason over a year ago and we are still looking at this monstrosity. I wish the place had burned to the ground at least now we would have a new building probably with tenants too.
  20. Roger, If you have nothing further to add to the original discussion, then do exactly that, by not adding any further comments and the debate will have run it's course naturally. We need to keep these debates 'On Topic' if a member wishes to create a separate debate to this then that is fine.
