ASDA's Planning application for a petrol station
Colin James replied to Chris Chappell's topic in Asda
Common sense indeed. -

I think you are referring to the other shop in Eign Gate Roger

The owners of the European shop in Whitecross Road Hereford are opening a new store on Belmont Road. This building has been empty for some time. There have been various attempts at pop up shops over the years but unfortunately none have ever lasted for too long, lets hope this new venture is successful for the new owners/tenants. Remember where you heard it first! #herefordvoice

I share the same view as Slim on this one, I do not believe for one second she is not receiving Tax Credits!

I notice the the second floor windows are still green, so can I assume that they just stopped because the blue colour on the ground floor is wrong or will this be half a job in the end?

ASDA's Planning application for a petrol station
Colin James replied to Chris Chappell's topic in Asda
Chris, this has been discussed several times, the last time was in this thread here. Personally I have no objection as I do not believe there will be that much extra traffic simply because Asda have a garage. The traffic using a garage will either be existing Asda customers or traffic passing, so I do not think there will be any additional traffic created on this junction because there happens to be a new garage on site. Bottom line is this application should not be refused because of this council's lack in dealing with this city's traffic issues, that would be unfair. The council need to sort out this traffic problem properly, it has been going on for years! They need to turn this junction back into a proper roundabout and get rid of the pathetic traffic light system that obviously is a hindrance rather than an aid. I think there were only a couple of objections previously but this land was originally going to be used for housing/flats anyway. Read through all the various comments in the previous debate. -
They will not win, of that, I have absolutely no doubt. If it comes to a rather powerful explosion will happen unlike anything they have ever witnessed will sent them to their virgins much quicker than they could ever imagine, however, I suspect an overwhelming ground force is what will be required in the end, mark my words, it may be a year or so before ground forces go in but if it carries on at the level it is right now it is inevitable.

Glenda I was referring to the Hereford City Council meeting (as per my original post above) which are always held in the evenings unlike the County. I have had it confirmed tonight that they have sent a letter to County expressing their concerns over the Spread Eagle.
-
This is on the agenda of the City Council for tonight's meeting. The colour scheme is totally out of character of the surrounding buildings. As this is a listed building there are only certain colours acceptable and I will put a pound on it that this colour is not one of them. This is also smack bang next to the Cathedral which is another reason it needs to be in keeping. I would suggest subtle creams|greens or grey like the new paint work approved at the Saracens Head. I have quoted this extract from this article in the HT

The colour looks awful and I would be surprised if the Conservation Officer at Hereford Council agreed to this in all honesty, more like this was an attemp to fob you off, I may be wrong but I do not think so.
-
Well I did see this but thought it was a hoax/joke, what a strange idea. Colour scheme is not right though.

Arming our officers is long overdue Roger and this needs to put through as a matter of urgency in my opinion. Watch the video from the security expert.
-
It is about time that ALL of our police officers were armed like their colleagues in Europe. I still cannot comprehend that many of our officers work alone and not in pairs like they do in other European countries. https://youtu.be/Ee_e2zwW9Yc

David Cameron stated the UK will only take refugees from legitimate camps and I agree.
