Good question, I am not sure, the flats have always been there as long as I can remember and I grew up in Redhill, overlooking the old lines from our house. The GWW has been there long before my time but I think the track just ran through. I assume it was farm land but it will be interesting if anyone knows?

Morning Roger, If someone replies to an old post it automatically jumps to the top, in turn this notifies other members that another reply has been made, (unless they have ticked the box to follow that particular topic, in which case they would receive an email), however, I also have the ability to bump an old post back to the top, which I occasionally will do if the forum goes a little quite or if I feel that there is still more to discuss in a particular thread/discussion. Members can also pm me a request to bump a topic which I will also consider. Just thought I would explain how the bump process works.

Thank you Bill, nice words and yes I feel that I am being pulled from pillar to post sometimes, I have been running several forums for almost 20 years now, seen it all, this is nothing new. I try to keep everyone happy but I guess I can't always get it right.

Well Paul will not be back, just for the record, I was subject to a load of abuse from him on Twitter which surprised me to be honest but he has not been banned, even though I think it would of been warranted. Surprised Flam has not logged in but none of these members have raised any issues with me, so maybe its that time of year when a lot of forums become less active.. I value all our members and I have always tried to be fair, its not easy keeping everyone happy, it really isn't. I for one hope to see bobby47 and flam posting again.

Yes Cambo, many times I have been driving home watching the perfect sunset and have never got the camera with me, so I went out the other night just to catch this one. Glad I did now, we are privileged to live in such a beautiful county.

Obviously, but surely this could be deemed as a distraction for some drivers and being sat on a pedestrian crossing is not the best place. With regard to loosing your job and licence, believe me when I tell you that these guys will issues tickets if your 4mpg over the speed limit, which is quite easy to do especially if your following the flow of traffic.

I would remove them altogether and maybe place them around the back of the trading estate.
