We had a presentation to the Council with the help of Councillor Jim Kenyon last December, which was discussed in our Traffic Lights Out Meeting topic here, since this time we have been working on our mission statement etc. The following letter was sent out to the Hereford Cabinet a few weeks ago but we have not received a response at all. (I have also attached it in PDF format) Cllrs Lights Out Letter.pdf

Cannot Purchase Hot Food In Hereford City After 1.30am
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
I have worked on the doors in Hereford for over 16 years, they used to have door staff at the Golden Galleon and the Palace Chinese before it closed, but they were not really needed, there was hardly any trouble to be honest. This is not doing the local food establishments any good, they rely on their weekend trade! It's a joke! As we have said before it's no wonder people choose to spend their Friday or Saturday nights away from Hereford- 291 replies

I have offered smartieno1 (Phil) the facility of my forum for the use of the tenants if is makes it easier for him and everyone, however, I can see it could become confusing with such a similar name as Tenants Voice, I never really thought about it until it was pointed out to me but it could become confusing indeed, so I would prefer a name change to something like Tenants Forum, Tenants View, Tenants Channel, Tenants Say, there are plenty of other alternatives but at the end of the day, I cannot demand a change in name that can only be smartieno1's decision but it may look like we are associated and we are not, so I can appreciate what others have said and after reading H.Wilson's last post there are other associations already using that name, maybe smartieno1 is unaware of? To be honest, I was under the impression that it was called 'Tenants Association' and just to clarify see our Facebook communication below: Regarding communication, dippyhippy is 100% correct, keep the communication doors open otherwise you will just end up fighting against each other (which is what is starting to happen now) when the end goal to 'look after the tenants needs' is the same, this is not about ego's or gaining brownie points over each other as someone has already suggested, you will be stronger working together, you may not always agree but you will be a stronger force for sure.

The CPS are very quick to NAME people who are accused, such as Bill Roache, Rolf Harris, Michael Le Vell, Freddie Starr, Dave Lee Travis, Jimmy Tarbuck, & Jim Davidson, I could go on! But protect their own eh...

Providing it's legal I will allow them to be named.

TWO women police officers, dismissed for gross misconduct after producing deliberately inaccurate witness statements, wont be facing criminal charges! At the conclusion of an internal hearing, the Hereford officers were dismissed without notice for behaviour amounting to gross misconduct. Now if this was anyone else other than a police officer do you think there would be charges?? Full HT article

Old Market - What's With All The Wood?
Colin James replied to Colin James's topic in Edgar Street Grid and Courtyard Theatre
Neither do I Roger, I'm not sure about the white/grey plastic shutters on the corner either what's that all about? I originally thought they were just covering the space where the glass windows wee going, so I am confused as to there purpose to be honest and I also think that they will start popping off or get storm damaged in time. I just think that the developers and architect could of made this much better with a bit more imagination. -
What's with all the wood?? It always gets me why do developers use wood on new projects? I suspect they would argue in this case that it lets in more light for cars going up the ramp onto the roof top parking but they could of used similar materials to what they have used around the other side near to the new cinema, which looks a lot more modern and better in my view. It's obviously cheaper! However, in a few years time it will go grey or even black in colour and look terrible. Have a look at the Courtyard Theatre, they have had to replace some and that looks even worse!! The relatively new Premier Inn next to Sainsbury's looks just as bad, do these developers not think of the bigger picture and how these buildings will look in a few years time? Mark my words and I will give it 3 years or less and it will look rubbish.

Yes this lot will put me over the edge lol

Well well well, you see false economy, their 2 minute fix didn't last long did it! How much is all these repeat repairs costing? This is the same spot that was repaired last September. (have a look at the 1st picture at the top) I took this picture this evening

I noticed today, that the telephone box at the back of the Butter Market looked like it was being removed and a new cashpoint machine (free withdraws) was being installed. I am surprised that a cashpoint is only just being installed now in this area, long overdue.

And they lost yet again 2-0 yesterday to Woking. When was actually the last time that Hereford United won a game?
