To go away from the original story just to clarify the taxi rank is outside Tesco front door.

Denise, there is a very good response to this story from Cllr Bob Matthews the Leader of the Independent group that should be in the HT this week, if they print it. If the people had not given the Tories a majority vote in the May election the cabinet system would have gone.Last year at a full council meeting the opposition members of the council voted the cabinet system out, with a majority vote, but it could not be implemented until after the May elections. Unfortunately the Tories became the larges party on the council and decided to keep the cabinet system.

Cllr Chappell, thank you for your comments which are most unfounded the Hereford Times gave a very good article about this very issue , and I suggest washing your dirty linen in public is not a professional way to act, in the position you hold. I can categoracally confirm that it was not I that advise the parents to go to legal, but I certainly know who it was when the parents had a meeting with them. May I suggest you read the front page article of last weeks Hereford Times and you will know who they are. Cllr Chappell I am in receipt of the full facts which has been given to me by the parents of 1 Ledbury Road who I support, and will continue to do so. I am also half way through reading the T&F groups report. I have been listening to the parents of these children for many months now, and as I said previously I also attended the meeting last week at the Green Dragon at their request. The parents today has ask me to publish a statement for them on Hereford Voice I said I would, I will post it on here in due course.I am sorry that you find my supporting these parents is obviously a threat to you, but while the parents ask me for my support I will continue to give it to them! At the end of the day Cllr Chappell this is not about you or I but the vulnerable children with complex needs and their parents who has had to cope with the childrens disruptive behaviour because all this has up set their daily routine, and making it very hard for their parents to cope with all the stress!!

HEREFORD TIMES 12 MINUTES AGO.
-
I was told by the three families a couple of weeks ago that they had sought professional advice, I was asked to keep that information to myself which I Assued them I would, and have not broken their confidence in me.Chris whether you approve of what the parents have done they did it because they said they are getting no assurance from the council or anyone else. I attended the meeting at the Green Dragon last Thursday, I must admit I was disappointed. The staff were discussing what they want to do in the future, like getting funding but they admitted that would not be for 12 months, people were asked to form a steering group, I have put my name forward, the woman from WVT was asked a question but she could not answer it. My worry is they are looking toward the future but the problem is what is going to happen to these parents and children NOW!

Having spoke to the HHL estates manager for Newton Farm on another matter yesterday (Fri) he mentioned the fly tipping and I asked when is it going to be cleared as it had been there for months. He said the fly tipping behind the electric station on the fields is Herefordshire council area, which he assured me he has reported to them. I did tell him again about Sherborne close, Pixley walk and the garages in Brampton road, and that it has been there quite some time, I told him if he wanted further clarification to come on here and see the pictures and comments!.

This was discussed at the disasterious council meeting about the core Strategy, but what some people may not know is that yes its got to be accepted onto the transport plan, but it also part of the Southern Link road plan between A465 and A49 into Rotherwas. With so much objection to this link road another road which I have called 'the road to nowhere' I cannot see this road being built.Neither the Southern Link road or the rail link is coming out of council coffers. The rail link and its running cost was being paid for by Network Rail and the money for the road was from central government, so NO COST TO HEREFORDSHIRE COUNCIL!!.

The Environment Agency has issued two flood warnings for the River Wye. Water levels are expected to peak in Hereford tomorrow. While riverside paths are being closed off this evening (Monday 30th Nov). Agency officials warned people who use the footpaths to find other routes on their way to school and work tomorrow morning.

All I know is that she is definately not claiming any benefits at all, yes she can get a singe person allowance for C Tax by law, but she still pays the remainder of her CTax and rent in full.
-
Slim, the answer to your question he is contributing but he not on the scene.
-
Denise - I agree they have flouted the planning laws, and the planning officer has not answered my message to come back to me, what a surprise! but he can't because he knows that what they have agreed is wrong. Greenknight - I had notice that about the empty shops, but its probably just temporary Christmas traders that pop up this time of year, hopefully I am wrong! When I met you at a meeting a couple of months ago, I hope you are going to support the people again on Thursday night at the Green Dragon 7.30pm, hope to see you there.
-
Colin, I am not and would not discuss this young womans personal details with anyone and especially on a website, but as I have said previously she does not claim any form of benefits or tax credits. I think it is very unfair that people who doesn't know her should form an unfair, and not true oppinion of her because she is a single mother trying to do right by her child. I have found the people who shout loudest about people who they think are on benefits, ARE DRAWING BENEFITS THEMSELVES!

I think it should be painted black & White to keep in tradition with its sourounding and the building next door, what they do inside could be a different colour.

ASDA's Planning application for a petrol station
Glenda Powell replied to Chris Chappell's topic in Asda
I agree use it for housing, the planning application was originally passed because of the housing, that said Wallmart is one of America biggest companies, and they would appeal and have the money to do it. So the council will agree to what they wants. -
Colin, I know the city council meetings are alway in the evening I used to be on city planning as I said in my previous post the county planning meeting was this morning, the fact the city sent a letter tonight again as I said previously the coments will be noted but not acted upon, the last say is always with the county planning meeting, and the colour according to the planning officer has been agreed, therefore it will have been all a waste of time.
-
Colin, that surprising for two reasons: (1) Hereford City Council planning is always before main planning meeting, and what they say is just noted . (2) Herefordshire Council planning meeting was this afternoon, so the decision will of been made before tonight. As the planning officers said in the HT the colour had already been agreed because the councillors had already gone on a site visit yesterday
-
I left a message for the senior planning officer to come back to me, I am going to suggest it be painted Black & White like the fish shop in commercial street many years ago, it will also match the building next to it. The HT has asked me to let them know his answer.
-
Story in HT today written by Paul Broome as I requested he quoted my concerns about the colour, although the council allowed the colour change they are saying it is to bright a blue and told the new owners that they got to change colour by next week.
-
Slim- didnt you know that sarcasm is the lowest form of whit.
-
I have just contacted Paul Broome at the HT and asked him to look into this, also where they got the permission from, as it is a listed building, and my objection to the colour, if they print it maybe we find out and get the colour changed, he said he would let me know.
-
I just thought all of you who have critized this young woman. you don't know all the fact but just to advise you SHE DOES NOT DRAW BENEFITS. she pays full rent and community charge. Also I have spoken to her neighbours this morning and they are all having the same problems with sewage going into their homes to mention just one of the problems.
-
I am also surprised about the colour, maybe the know the right people on the council. I agree the colour is not in keeping with the other buildings in the area.
