  1. Let us hope that Mr Chung will build his takeaway and living accomodation this time, this is the third time he has put a planning application in but didnot build. Mr Edwards will have to find somewhere else to hang his sign in future.
  2. These appointments are only proposals, and the list is changing all the time. I have asked for all appointments to be sent to me after council meeting tomorrow, I will then post the list here.
  3. I have found out today that unfortunately Phil Edwards is back on the council planning committee, so expect him to vote in favour of this road and his bus lane/cycle lane and the boulevarde of trees down the middle of belmont road.
  4. All the areas will be having new names, so unless they get the new street signs up we will have the same confusion as before.
  5. Dilligaf, Any information would be appreciated because I live in the area, in regard to construction work. I am wondering if you have the wrong area? simply because I was told although Herefordshire Housing Ltd (HHL) have last year modernised the 3 storey flats on Ross Road they are coming down in 5 years.
  6. DILLIGAF, welcome to HV, I will try to answer your question I have been told by the tenants of Herefordshire Housing living in the Oval development area they are to pay a surcharge for the upkeep of the ground their property is standing on, they did not tell me how much, but they are not pleased. As I am no longer the councillor for Newton Farm HHL will no longer give me any information I suggest you ask Mark Butler of HHL because he is the officer in charge of the development. This charge is separate from council tax which you pay to the council.
  7. Lets see how long it takes to be cleared, this is not very far from where Phil Edwards lives, this is also where he cuts the grass on his sit on mower.
  8. These people already own and run a nursing home at Stretton Sugwas.
  9. It is ringing alarm bells with me to find out that Joanna King is the head of looked after children for the council, these children are vulnerable!!!
  10. Jean, yes I thought it was Clehonger PC, I have heard he was a pain in the A.. there. He has now left Belmont PC and everyone heaved a sigh of relief.
  11. Roger, Herefordshire Housing has known for a long time which tenant is responsible for this fly tipping, I have been complaining to them when I was a councillor for the past 5 years, they have cleared the rubbish to be fair but more is dumped within 24 hours of it being cleared. They need to either prosecute them or move these people away from the area, but there again they would start again wherever they lived.
  12. Hereford southern link road in a jam-just 24 hours after Herefordshire Council confirmed that a planning application for the route has been submitted. The Hereford Transport Forum , has launched a petition calling on the council and "unelected" Marches Local Enterprise Partnership to stop the "deeply flawed" SC2 scheme. Full story in Hereford Times this morning.
  13. He been a councillor for 16 or 18 years, I have known him for 12 of those he thinks he knows best, very self opinionated doesn't like anyone to have a different opinion to his. When the people of Newton Farm, Belmont and Haywood knows he pushing this road they will give him a hard time. He has obviously changed since you knew him as PC, was that in Clehonger or Belmont?
  14. I know two of our members are also his residents so maybe they should.
  15. Denise, I couldn't put it better myself. He agrees what the residents says and goes off and does what he wants.
  16. Jeanharris, I have just read Adrian post, both Adrian and I did not support this road (when we were both Belmont ward councillors) without a river crossing, unfortunately Phil Edwards(newly elected councillor for Newton Farm) does and he will probably go back on planning committee of this new council, He will pass the application because he wants a bus/cycle lane down the A465 including a boulevard of trees down the centre of the road including the destruction of the wood and the road going through your garden. So much for supporting the people that just elected him!!!
  17. I have just taken delivery of some beautiful arrangements of flowers from residents of Newton Farm, to say thank you for my work over the past 12 years, that is very kind of you all, thank you Glenda.
  18. Phil Edwards do not like websites, including the Herefordshire Independents one, what it is he doesn't like is the fact people will question him if ever he came on here and he doesn't like that. I know a lot of people were waiting for him to knock their door about his election leaflet taking credit for what I did and I know at least two caught him and really went to town on him, he then said " I haven't got your vote then" he so thick skinned. Newton Farm is a hard ward to manage, and his attitude to the people will have to change as if not as the saying goes "they will have him for breakfast" Ha! Ha! he is about to learn the people won't let him get away with anything, but as I said before I will enjoy sitting back and see everything fall apart around his feet.
  19. Yes and that is against electoral law because it was in the poudar period. As I have heard that people were out canvassing at the door when the polling stations were open, in one ward but there will be an enquiry into that.
  20. While I take a chance of getting another red- mark if I speak about IOC, as Colin said I am now free to tell you what its like on the inside, that the members on here do not know about. I have been told by members/candidates of IOC past and present that they do not get any support from them so was not surprised to read Dazza333 posts (26 & 27) as one of their members told me they were told (you are elected get on with it) it is very daunting being a councillor for the first time and any training offered by the council should be taken up. In regard to the council chamber IOC shout about every thing, they are rude therefore they are ignored, as a HT reporter told me they make headline comments but there is no substance after in what they say. In regards to the Independents, candidates get very good support from the leader, often to his own detriment, but people then will not do anything for themselves, and it happened again in the recent elections, some asked for help and I gave it, and those I helped appreciated it but other than another three of existing councillors only stepped forward when the leader asked them to help new candidates.
  21. Paul, The two groups (INDE & IOC) are as far apart as they could be, there are some in the IOC & Inde has good intentions but go about it in the wrong way, i.e. personal gain, at the expense of the people they serve. The Inde in the past has spoken with IOC to do what some have already said decide to not put candidates up against each other on the same ward, and to be fair to the group I am no longer with they have done that only for IOC to go back on their word, they did this time as in 2011 flooded all wards with candidates even where Independents were standing prime example Newton Farm where I was told by John Harrington they were not putting anyone up in Newton Farm, as it has been said before on another thread it just dilutes the votes and no one wins. All opposition groups need to look where they went wrong this time and look again at the way they go about things because until they do they will all lose! Thank you for your vote.
  22. Frank/Bill what they portray to the electorate and what they are like in the council chamber is very different. It doesn't bother me that I got a red minus for my comments. I am free now from any constraints as when I was a councillor to tell things as they really are, and I am known for my honesty and speaking my mind.
  23. Frank, he was told by four members of the Independents not to stand against me, as well as other councillors he was adamant he was going to stand against me and was very arrogant and rude to the Independent Leader when he said not to. He was overheard saying on Friday after he was elected that as Adrian Bridges lost in Belmont, he could of stood in Belmont and got in because he is known there, the answer he got was why did you f...ing stand in Newton Farm then?. That is the arrogance of him. He is not going to get an easy ride both on Newton Farm and in the council I know that. In regard to standing for IOC that would NEVER HAPPEN. I could tell you a lot about them, they are NOT for the people of Hereford, as their supporters on here will find out, they cannot be trusted!
  24. Dippy, I have not lost the fighting spirit, he is the dirt under my shoes. He has a few surprises coming not from me, but the people of Newton Farm so I was told by the people yesterday.
  25. Thank you all for comments they are appreciated at this time. The other woman with the red coat on also lives in Newton Farm and she came in last. Bill I wasn't aware you were at the count otherwise I would of spoken to you, yes I agree he was being smug, but as I said on another post about the toilet block, he had the gaul to turn up at my door last night and I slammed the door in his face, don't know whether it hit him and he was still talking to himself after the door was closed.
