Point taken, I take my bin just after they have emptied it, but it is always left just inside the gate by the bin men.
-
Dippy, when householders took possession of the new bins they also had a booklet stating when the bins were being emptied, on what date, for both household rubbish and recycling, also being asked to put their bins out the night before immediately outside the gate or boundary to their property not to obstruct the pavement or road, they also had stickers with their house numbers to put on bins, so anyone obstructing the pavement or road can be easily identified from their bin.

Having spoken to HHL again on Tuesday in regard to the state of Sherborne Close area, since reporting this before Christmas (see post 14) I have been advised again today that HHL estate manager, and waste management are working together on this matter, also tenants responsible are all being contacted that they will face a fine between £80 - £100 every time they fly-tip in Sherborne Close. I have suggested that HHL could take the large wheelie bins from the flats in the Oval area that are empty and place them in Sherborne close, that is thought to be a good idea.

Dippy I asked officers for the information yesterday and when they returned to council today I received the answers. I have always found if you are polite to officers they respond in the same way to you, so far they have not let me down!

Dippy, I have received today the answer to your 2nd and 3rd questions: HOOPLE: is charged £256k per annum for using 160 desks on top floor in Plough Lane. The charge is a per desk charge and covers accommodation, Telephones and ICT. RIVER ISLAND SITE: The 215 notice requires some remedial work to be completed by Feb 20th 2015. The council is having an on-going debate with the owners about their ability to complete the required work within the timescale. The agent acting for the owners is also pursuing the wider development of the premises ( and in accordance with the extant planning permission) this is the bigger prize the council are hoping to achieve at this stage there are no details on that timescale. The agent has been asked to keep the council advised in the run up to the 20th Feb.

I have said the same to HHL, unfortunately the estates manager isn't very good I have reported untidy gardens, hedges over the pathway and still nothing is done, I am sure if I did the same I would receive a letter, but people ignore them. Once upon a time you were given two chances and the third letter was an eviction order, but HHL doesn't follow it through and haven't done for years, so the tenants just ignore the letters and carry on with leaving their gardens a mess. It was the same six months ago I brought to their attention five households smoking cannabis, I was told if we evicted everyone who smoked it half of our properties would be empty there is no deterrent anymore, and the same with the police they do nothing about cannabis either.

Megilleland, you know that this area is inspected more than anywhere else on the estate, you also know this rubbish is down to one family living in Sherborne Close. I have reported the area to HHL, and the rubbish will be collected on Tuesday. Whilst I was delivering my newsletter I notice some of Sherborne Close is in a un-tidy and dirty state I have also brought this to the attention of HHL. There has been many tidy ups since June 2010 as you know but this tenant and the family doesn't care, this is up to HHL to do something about it! because I am tired of reporting this almost on a weekly basis.

There are 6 Tories who are not standing (plus the three who recently passed away) equalling 9, unfortunately the cabinet members are all standing again. I am standing but I have 5 candidates standing against me in the new Newton Farm ward, and only one of us can be elected to represent the people of Newton Farm. There are so many rumours going around as to who is or not standing from all groups. Don't get me started on the funding or lack of it for social care, and the new care in the community but no money to pay for it, yet last year the Tories employed two other people to "help the director of social care to do her job" at £500 per week each! I asked the question at full council in February 2014 only to be booed by the Tories. IOC are against the southern link road across the river Wye going from A49 to A465 to B4349 that is public knowledge as it has been in the HT.

Taxi's Refusing Short Trips on the Rank
Glenda Powell replied to Paul Neades's topic in Hereford City
I will be asking some questions next week, I sit on regulatory committee, see what answers I get. -
Happy New Year Dippy, the answer to your first question - council meeting started being filmed on 12th December. In regards to Hoople I have sent an email to officer requesting the info, that also applies to River Island. When I get the answer back I will tell you.
-
Dippy, no it was not a named vote the 36 who voted it through were Independents, Lib-Dems and some IOC, the person who voted against was Cllr Rone the 13 abstentions were the cabinet and their helpers (All conservatives).

Decision notice. The Bullying of Disabled Council Staff
Glenda Powell replied to WirralPC's topic in Open Forum
gdi, I was very careful what I said, not for them to be identified for instance I have not said if the employee was male or female and did not say what type of bullying they encountered. I would not say who the person is not even in a PM. -
Decision notice. The Bullying of Disabled Council Staff
Glenda Powell replied to WirralPC's topic in Open Forum
Apparently this employee was bullied but they reported it, the culprits left the council last year, but it started up again from where the others left off, hence why the employee came to me and I looked into it. I know that the employee has been off sick because they told me as I said still waiting for the outcome I took it to the highest level when I ask the employee if they wanted me to do anymore they said no, I had given them the confidence to fight it on their own, they went to unison. -
Decision notice. The Bullying of Disabled Council Staff
Glenda Powell replied to WirralPC's topic in Open Forum
Dippy, I have not got a personal email address it got scammed, therefore if you sent me a PM I would not of received it to answer what you may have wrote. I refer you back to my post 87, where I advised I was helping an employee, (read what I said) I have not heard back from the employee after my help and advice despite writing to them therefore I do not know the outcome. -
Message I received from BBLP today. Work to be carried out on pedestrian controlled lights at the Oval, Belmont road. On 30th November there will be single lane traffic control through the working area facilitated by temporary two way traffic signals. Traffic entering Belmont road from Beattie Ave will be able to feed into this two way control. Traffic wishing to turn right into Beattie Ave from Belmont road will be diverted around the Tesco roundabout to prevent conflict. It is anticipated that this traffic control will only be required during the morning, with work that continues into the afternoon being carried out in such a way that two way flow of traffic can be reinstated. On the 6th December the traffic will be controlled more locally using " stop and go" boards as required Locality manager (Belmont) BBLP.

I was there on all three days of the South Wye Transport Package consultation, only 7other councillors attended on the last evening an hour before the consultation closed. The three councillors that have called it in only one lives north of the city, the others live in Kington and Bromyard. That said, I have commented before on this it will not work without the river crossing which is not a part of this plan, but was in the original plan in 2004/5.

Hereford Hospital CQC Report 14.10.14 ~ 'Inadequate'
Glenda Powell replied to Roger's topic in Open Forum
I sit on the board of the hospital and know what I am talking about. It is very frightening for genuine people who are taken to A&E seeing people handcuffed to beds with the police with them, and these people can and have been violent to the staff there. As I said before the pastors do a very good job but you will never stop these people going to be taken to A&E. -
We will see if what you have said will come true, but as the candidates business cases will not be heard until April/May next year this administration may not be around to make the decisions because the elections are on 7th May. Whether my electorate re-elected me or not I will still be supporting the traders to take over the Buttermarket

I have been supporting the buttermarket traders for 2 years and back in the summer Steve Dixon, chairman of the Buttermarket Independent Traders Association, along with buttermarket traders , backed by local businessmen has expressed its interest in taking over the market as a community enterprise, they said: "we know the market, we know the job". This came about when the £3-5m refurbishment was put on hold by Herefordshire Council. It now seems to me rather coincidental that the council has 6 candidates interested in putting forward a business case, a few months after the market traders and local businessmen have shown an interest to take over the running of the buttermarket!

Hereford Hospital CQC Report 14.10.14 ~ 'Inadequate'
Glenda Powell replied to Roger's topic in Open Forum
When I attended A&E a few years ago with 2 broken wrists, there were children there and they were seen first. I know the street pastors do a really good job but you will never stop people who are drunk or use drugs going to A&E. -
The Director of Health in Herefordshire has confirmed the man taken to hospital yesterday evening DOES NOT HAVE EBOLA
-
It has not been confirmed that the man has got Ebola. Health England has come back to me stating there will be an update on Hfd & Worc radio at 5pm tonight.
-
STATEMENT FROM WYE VALLEY NHS TRUST - 1 hour ago. " Patient has undergone tests, all appropriate action has been taken and there is no risk to public health. As far as our patients are concerned, its a case of business as usual". As a local councillor I have asked Health England for information about this they have said they will contact me again this afternoon with an update on the situation. It has not been confirmed that what the patient is suffering from is Ebola!!!

Generally once a planning application is approved 3 years,, but developers generally start straight away then if they fall behind it is a mad rush to catch up. If it is a normal application again 3 years but if time runs out they have to go through the process again and pay again.
