  1. It was reported last week that the vomiting/diarrhoea bug is back, similar symptoms are novavirus.Let us hope it is not Ebola!!!
  2. When this was passed at cabinet last Thursday, the opposition groups were against it, there is a possibility of it going to judicial review or an inquiry. I agree about Grafton wood, and when this road was agreed back in 2005 it had a river crossing from Belmont to Breinton without the river crossing to take the traffic from A465 it is not going to work
  3. The other stations are being considered after the Rotherwas link. There will be a freight terminal at Rotherwas as well as a passenger station.
  4. He already answer the question on another post
  5. The rail link into Rotherwas will help the businesses with a freight service and the people in South Wye it will also be a passenger station, so you can get on the train from there which will connect passenger to Wales, also elsewhere by running into Hereford station as well.
  6. AV & Cambo, the property is not listed but does have covenants on it.
  7. Considering the area and it is also a conservation area I can see these properties going for £1.5m each
  8. I think the salary comes into it
  9. Cambo. It was always going to be put on the open market. the sole agent is Luke Brittain-for Connells in Bristol. Brockington is not listed but there are covenants on the building. The development brief is for part conversion to the house with 15 high quality dwellings in the grounds. Personally I think the selling price of £1.5m is to low. See page 90 of this weeks H.T. for details.
  10. Dippy, sorry not to come back earlier but I had to find out the answer to your question. The matter to dissolve the cabinet is on the agenda for full council meeting on 12th December, which the public can attend, the meeting at the Shire Hall the room at the top of the stairs starting at 10am.
  11. When Cllr Price stated he didn't care what local people think, I gave him my answer to that statement but it is unrepeatable on a public forum, I am sure you can guess what I said to him, he hasn't spoke to me since.
  12. As I have said before this road (Rotherwas Access Rd) was first consulted on in 2004, at that time the direction of the road was the same but with a river bridge from Belmont to Breinton. This road and bridge would of been built years ago if this administration had gone back to Advantage West Midlands for the second stage of funding but they left it to late. In April 2004 I did a door to door survey of the people living in South Wye and they thought it was a good idea, The application for the 500/800 houses which was proposed for lower Bullingham at the time was thrown out. I think without the river crossing this road will not work. What will help is the rail link in to Rotherwas!
  13. Some backbenchers are for this to give local people a say, but the government don't want it because the House of Commons would lose control. We have enough problems with 8 cabinet members here who do not listen to local people, just imagine if just ONE PERSON was in control! I would vote to get rid of the cabinet system and go back to the committee system, I know it may be slower but everyone would have their say in what happens in Hereford.
  14. The southern link road was approved at the cabinet meeting today.
  15. The coming together of all these small councils into one is to get funds from central government, Manchester is the first but to get these funds they had to agree to having an elected mayor, which will come into effect next year. An elected mayor will stay in office for 4 years instead of one year as it is now. So the elected mayor whether male or female if after they are elected proves to be not good in the job you are stuck with them for 4 years
  16. Well I am standing in the new Newton Farm ward, where I have lived for the past 40 years. I know I have 5 candidates standing against me, so it will be a fight to see who gets in, unfortunately I have another Independent standing against me, who is one of the 3 present Belmont ward councillors no one can be complacent and at the end of the day its the people that will chose who they want to represent them!
  17. Some rats are as big as cats, and Ive seen a cat back off from confronting a rat. If people didn't put half eaten food in the black bags cats would leave the sacks alone. What annoys me my neighbour puts her black bags by the side of the bin instead of in it, then the cats rip them open and the waste is strewn all over the path.
  18. AV & Cambo I will find out and give you the answer.
  19. I knew Cllr Bowen (Independent Cllr) was going to ask the questions, he the chairman of the general overview and scrutiny committee so possibly why they gave him the answer. considering the size of Brockington I do not think they are asking enough for it the original building was two separate properties and the ground it stands on is massive although people are not aware of it the building stands in the middle of the plot of ground, there is equally as much ground at the back as is visible in the front. It used to be the police head quarters for many years.
  20. Yes I agree Colin, you did the right thing. I think if you had been in Hereford when it started you would of pulled the plug days ago.
  21. Flam, no one would get very far if they told me not to go on any website, I go on whatever website I wish. Dippy, yes I have my own website, if you click onto my name on the links here you will see it, its been running for 4 years.

  23. Hi Folks, thank you Dippy and Flam yes I am well, the reason why I have not posted for 6 weeks is my computer blew up luckily when I was not at home. It gave me the opportunity to go out on my ward with Belfour Beatty resulting in a lot of work filling in potholes and road resurfacing having been done on Newton Farm and Hunderton after walking round the ward. I have also taking up a case of bullying, and wading through 6 weeks of emails as well as other council work, and helping my constituents. Then last night tried to log on here and It locked me out had to get in touch with Colin. I have been reading through the posts here and will get round to answering some that I can answer. Best Wishes, Glenda
  24. Flam, I remember when Marcelle Lloyd-Hayes left the Lib Dems in 2007 stating she was going to be "Independent" she didn't want to be part of any political party, that statement lasted all of two months she then joined the political party who is IOC and 7 years later she still with them
  25. Colin, the council officer has been in contact this afternoon, he advised me he will deal with the matter on Monday, it is no:5.
