  1. I was there,if I realised it was you Bobby I would of stepped in, but you were not the only one he did that to he did not allow the second part of my question about "what will you do to regenerate businesses in the core centre of the city" because my first question was " will you support the Butter Market traders to take over the lease of the Butter Market" I did not antisipate the anger my question would cause. Also i was annoyed that the panel did not answer my question because of the shouting. Still come and put your questions at council next Friday, Shire Hall 10am.
  2. just for clarification, as a past vice chairman of planning, councillors on that committee can not give opinion on any application before that committee hearing the application starts, that would disqualify them from speaking on the application. In that case according to how many councillors are left to debate and vote it could go the opposite to what people want
  3. I am aware of a situation that has continued since last year, although officers doing the bullying then have gone some have started again where the others left off. I am in contact with the disabled staff affected who has asked me for my confidential advice which I have given. I have given them the confidence to speak up which they are doing. I have told them to read this post and the answers from other posters which I know they have done because I am still in contact with them. Watch this space!!
  4. Colin, I have left a message in regards to the subject of this post, I have given the officer the address and said that the council should prosecute this time as he obviously hasn't learnt the lesson from last time. In regard to Sherborne Close it is continuely being flag up hear over many years and contarary to what has been said in the past, it is taken away but more is then left in its place within 24 hours. HHL know who the fly tippers are as they are their tenants, so after advising them its happening again it is up to HHL to deal with it.
  5. Megilleland, I have already given HHL my list for all over Newton Farm last week to include Sherborne Close, also asking for their tenants to cut their hedges back, tidy the gardens, fill in potholes in all their garage areas, the estates manager told me she was going up Newton Farm last Friday and Monday this week.
  6. Colin, I will get in touch with the officer again, Glenda
  7. yes the rumour is true I heard today
  8. I missed the Q&A session but I will be attending Question Time next Thursday 7.30pm at the church in St Owens Street and I have sent in my question for Tony to answer about the Buttermarket
  9. brockington is in fact two separate properties join together by a glass walkway. Within a month Brockington will go onto the open market, expressions of interest are being handled by the Bristol offices of Connells Estate Agents.
  10. I was at the Old Market Saturday and it was half empty the frstival on the Castle Green took all the crowds, and with todays weather it will be a wash out.
  11. I went to the one at the Kindle Centre, and I will be going to this one, I have already put three questions forward.
  12. I am someone who knows and have worked alongside Nick Semper for sometime in my role as councillor, I have always found him to be honest, a good officer and someone who cares deeply about Herefordshire. I know that he has come onto this site many times to see what is being said but has never commented on the site one way or another.
  13. they are not side street but main roads in and out of Newton Farm, there is also diversion signs off the main A465 Belmont road. So no excuse they are blocked off at both ends.
  14. I know I have just got some roads in Newton Farm resurfaced and it was total chaos for a week, now the Oval regeneration developers have just closed a second road at the Oval for 6 weeks. What is funny in all this chaos there are signs telling drivers the roads are closed and they are still trying to go down the roads drivers are doing u-turns left right and centre.
  15. Hi Flam, see my post (NO;22) I did not name IOC but they have backed out before on a crucial vote, so I may be wrong but I don't think they will back it, especially as one of them said today "it hasn't got a chance"I like that Cllr to be named here. you don't know until you try, not to confuse you 10 Cllrs has to agree to the named vote for my request to be carried, so it is not definate there will be a named vote as I said in previous post!
  16. if my request is not successful I will post the result here, and name those councillors who voted against the getting rid of cabinet,or abstained from voting either way you will know.
  17. Dippy, I am going to ask for a named vote, ten councillors have to agree to a named vote, not sure we will get it, simply because those against the abolition will not want the electorate to know, as a named vote generally gets into the HT, still we will see what happens.
  18. Dippy, in my opinion there are a few oposition councillors who have their own agenda, they have been known to say one thing and then at the crucial moment do the complete opposite. They take credit for what other councillors do and when I have told them about it they don't like it, and instead of talking to me they go to the press. I am afraid as one reporter told me " they seek the headlines but no suppstance behind it to follow up what they have said" his words not mine. I can assure you the picture is very different from inside the council but the public do not see that unfortunately. I call a spade a spade, and I am not liked for that, I do not say one thing and then do another my constituents know that. I am on public record as saying " if my constituents get up off their backside to vote for me I must give them 100% of my time" and they do get my full attention. I am not one of those councillors who "talks down" to people as far as I am concerned I am no better than anyone else and no one is better than me! I treat ALL my constituents the same regardless of whether they live in the affluent side of the Belmont ward, Newton Farm or Hunderton!
  19. Cambo, thanks for the thumbs up! hope everyone in my ward remembers that next year! interesting times lie ahead with the two motions to the council and the ward changes next year. Oh in case anyone here is wondering I will be voting to abolish the cabinet system on 26th September.
  20. Colin, there is an updated version of this that Bill Tanner has written on the HT website today. Flam and Dippy, the other motion is for a new rail station at Rotherwas which will be for passengers and freight if its accepted it will be on the old Gloucester line that was closed many years ago. So anyone living in South Wye could get off at Rotherwas or go on to Hereford.
  21. If you want to know the reaction to the motion why don't you come to the full council meeting and see and hear for yourselves. There are two very important motions on that day the other is from Cllr Bob Matthews, leader of the Independents! Council starts at 10am.
  22. It may be a coinsidence but I reported the Tory's were advertising on the council website and told the officer to take it off the website I was told by the officer "it is not allowed". So maybe they have listened and acted on what I said. It is even worse that it was written on House of Common headed paper!
  23. Further information received this morning, there is a diversion in placewhile Goodrich Grove is closed, all traffic to go along the A465 to Tesco roundabout and enter upper Newton Farm by turning left along Southolme road to the mini roundabout into Waterfield Road
  24. As of Monday 11th August 2014 Goodrich Grove will be close for approx 6 weeks to install the new suage drains for the new development on the Vortex site,Radford Gardens and houses by the play area in Kilvert Road.
  25. Over the next four days, Wednesday to Saturday 6 to 9 August the following roads will be closed for resurfacing work to be carried out. Charlton Ave, Masefield Ave and between 1-20 Waterfield Road. All buses will travel to and from the Oval via Kilvert Road to access upper Newton Farm, and into Hereford City.
