  1. I already have a bin that I put my black bag in, and put it out on the appropriate day, like many of you I recycle almost everything. I do not see why cabinet member Cllr Bramer think these black wheelie bins is such a good idea, I have to agree with Denise on this one!
  2. Stupidfrusration: I was not aware we have met, to answer your question and it is my opinion no one elses no at the moment we have not got the money to answer 2,3,4,5,6, my answer is yes to all simply because the traders have said yes to your questions. Flamboyant - from your response I have a feeling you are an employee of the administration, so I do understand why you post under this name. Dippy- like Flam I think you are also an employee, I may be wrong only you can tell me that. In regard to Barrscourt I am asking my own questions and when I get an answer you will be the first to know. Bobby - I do know who you really are, because we met to have a chat.
  3. Sorry Dippy, when this forum was Belmontvoice and for the people of South Wye we all would post but in our own names, I admire people who want to comment but at the same time not afraid to let people know who they really are, its called" standing up and be counted". As a councillor I am known to say what I think both here and in the press as well, and I have had some nasty comments back, but it still doesn't deter me from speaking the truth. I also note if anyone wants any confirmation to posts they inevitably ask me to find out. Flamboyant has done so today in a previous post.
  4. I do not share your views, considering as you say the mayor and his deputy love the butter market, then they should support it not go round everyone in the market trying to get them to sell! where is their loyalty to their fellow traders? You seem to have some knowledge of the situation why don't you come out from behind your avatar and say who you really are?
  5. At a recent meeting of the City Council it came to light that the mayor from last year Cllr Phil Edwards wanted to take over the Butter Market and move the city council from the Town Hall into the Butter Market. It is common knowledge that the present mayor Len Tawn and his deputy Charles Nicholls(both IOC councillors) want to sell the market, how do I know the Butter Market committee members told me earlier this year. This from the political group (IOC) who was formed to save the city and it's historic core!!!. I am right behind the market traders taking over the butter market themselves.
  6. I have again today sent in a request to the locality steward for the belmont Ward for weeds to be removed and gutters sprayed
  7. No I am not, or do not get frustrated. These two have a basic allowance of £7,244 cabinet member further £8,500 and support worker between £4,000 to £5,000 on top, and before you say it I did not go into politics for the money, but to help my residents. If they can take the time to vote for me, then I give them 100% of my time and I have done that for 11 years and I know my residents appreciate what I do for them because they tell me.
  8. It is obvious that you as others here are members of the Jim Kenyon and IOC appreciation society, but I know and see a very different side of him!!!
  9. I have got my grass cut at the Oval in Newton Farm because I asked Herefordshire Housing to do it. BBLP have now cut the rest I also sent them a long list of things to be done, potholes, road resurface, weed spray which has started to be done i.e. the riverside path which has been done, potholes in Newton Farm and Hunderton, and road resurfacing starting next week in Newton Farm. All I got from the other two was get your residents to form a grass cutting group and they can apply for some money for a mower. When I mentioned Japanese Knotweed Cllr Rone said it will be cut, everyone knows or so I thought, Japanes Knotweed, must be removed roots and all NOT CUT!!!
  10. Why are not all the questions being put to Cllr Rone who has had a cabinet post created for him Highways grass cutting etc and Cllr kenyon who was given the job of support worker to him, they both had a nice little increase in their allowances for doing the job!!!
  11. A couple of years ago I was staying at an hotel near Canary Wharf in London the traffic lights were Christmas trees in red amber and green. Looked really good.
  12. The new times of opening at the Oval post office has been in operation for last three months.
  13. Its a part of Hereford City festival they are trays of wild flowers supplied by someone from Leominster. I ask last year can they be a perminant ficture but was told No.
  14. UPDATE- Over 200 Herefordshire residents attended the public exhibition last week to discuss plans and give feedback about the south wye transport package A49-B4349 southern link road. However it is not to late to take part in the consultation and the exhibition displays can now be viewed at the belmont and Hereford libraries until the end of the consultation period which ends on 8th Aug 2014. For those who want to ask questions about the plans staff will be on-hand on 15th July at the Belmont Library 2pm-5pm and 18th July Hereford Library 3pm-7pm.
  15. The situation is being dealt with I have had a meeting with the site manager pointing out the danger. I walk around the redevelopment area two three times a week, so I am keeping a very close eye on it. I will also be reporting the problems to HHL at our next housing management meeting on 17th July.
  16. I received this information from Keepmoat Homes (Midlands)
  17. M.Preece, I will advise them about the website address this afternoon.
  18. Today is the last day of the exibition at the Three Counties Hotel where it will close at 8pm. As from tomorrow you can visit Belmont Library, city library where a scaled down display will be until 8th August 2014. You can also pick up the brochures and questionnaires at both library's Kindle Centre, Advice centre Newton Farm and Rotherwas E.Zone. I will be visiting the Three Counties Hotel for the last time from 3pm today, to date 45 people a day have attended the exhibition not only from the South Wye area also from north of the city, Clehonger, Kingstone, Haywood and Callow. There has been varied comments on the suggestions which are not set in stone, it is up to the people to influence the outcome by attending today and ask questions of the team of people there and they are there to LISTEN to your own proposals as to what you would like, also for you to fill out the questionaire. You have until the 8th August to fill the questionaires and send them back in the pre-paid envelope provided. I cannot stress enough the importance of the people's comments and recommendations. Glenda
  19. Denise, The South Wye Transport Package exibitions is on the council website, newsdesk page and Twitter, A press release was also sent to the HT but they did not print it.
  20. Police report today says Amy was found safe and well at 11.30pm last night.
  21. Bill, I went home for a couple of hours at 3.30pm having arrived at 12.15pm then went back at 5pm for couple of hours. yes Colin and John came in at lunchtime and I knew they would be asking some awkward questions, and yes the question of the traffic lights came up, they were not expecting Colin to take photo's. They said they start the build in 2016 and it would take two years, my question was what are they going to do in the meantime about the congestion now! they couldn't answer that. I was pleased to see Colin put Cllr Price through his paces, funnily enough he followed Colin out and didn't comeback!!! Later a lady asked some awkward questions and they could not give her an answer so I told her I make some enquiries I gave her my business card to write to me. In total up until I went home at 7pm 42 people had come to see the exhibition. It will be interesting to see how many come today when I go back. Most of the people who came yesterday asked where the other ward councillors were, they were not impressed that I was the only one who was there!
  22. If you attend the exhibition you will receive a brosure of the proposals and a questionairre to fill in and send back in a prepaid envelope. It is worth taking a look. This is your chance to have your say. Colin came and asked questions.

  24. The piece about Helen Coombs salary is old news, it was back in February at a health & social care scrutiny meeting it was announced that she would needs two assistants at £500 and £495 per day to help her from February to October 2014. At that meeting I ask how they could justify employing these two additional people when they had just announced more financial cut backs in social care services, I was told "you want the best care for people don't you" at that point I said if she needs help either she pays these people salary with a reduction in her salary or if she is not up to the job she should resign. Again at the Full Council meeting at Brockington in February that is why I would not support the 2014-15 budget again giving my reasons as what I said at the scrutiny meeting, the administration boo me, but after the meeting members of the public in attendance thanked me for bringing this to the attention of the public.
  25. I asked Herefordshire Housing to cut the grass around the Oval and Charlton Ave on Tuesday morning it had been cut by 1pm
