  1. what about Hereford Lights Forum (HLF)
  2. What happened at the meeting this afternoon, Colin?
  3. Bill, not to discredit CJ suggestion, but both the Independents and I put forward that suggestion at council meeting back 12 months ago, the administration agreed then regade on that proposal. Unless you get something in writing, you don't stand a chance!
  4. Harry, count me in on that
  5. I have visited this site on a couple of occasions where it tries to give you a totally different view of whats happening to Hereford, but of course everyone knows his team is the cause of all the chaos that we find ourselves in. He needs to take his blinkers off and see things as they really are!!!. I have my own information website people seem to like it, at the moment I am looking for a new administrator for the site as he has retired so if you know anyone put them in touch with me.
  6. I never stand by and do nothing, my proven record show that. When this website was started back in 2010 until recently I was the only councillor answering ALL the questions, back then it was called by a different name and it was only for the people living in Belmont ward. I do not come on here as often now as I have my own website and I answer my residents from there!
  7. I put my own complaint about the three to the standards board, which was heard on 6th November at the same time I was cleared of any misconduct
  8. Biomech, You don't need to target me I always answer people's questions,so don't tar me with the same brush as other councillors. I was in a taxi the other night and we got cut up there. I will enquire to the possibility for a police car to be located there!
  9. Funding for CCTV is being cut drastically! Were the police not called to the scene? More details needed as to what happened here and it should be reported to the police if you havent done so!
  10. IOC were always against the OLM development but did not get anywhere the planning application went through, then just before the 2011 elections they changed their name to "its our county", also they are not the largest group other than the Conservatives, some of their members are members of the green party, the Independents are the next largest group to the Conservatives and always has been.
  11. Once again, thank you for all your posts of support. Glenda
  12. Kingstone wasn't the right decision, there are many back bench councillors who ask the right questions, time will tell.
  13. Dippy Hippy, If you were in my position seeing things from the inside you would change your mind. Look at Kingstone both the Conservatives and IOC voted for 160 houses to be built there when everyone living there did not want them!!
  14. Bobby, I think it is unfair to discredit all Herefordshire Independent councillors when only two of them turned against me, the others supported me. I also feel it is wrong to show favour to one political party on the eve of a by-election when there are three candidates standing. The Independent candidate is like me works very hard for her community, and cares greatly for them, she also cares about Hereford and what has happened to it, your comment could easily turn people against her, which is a shame I have guided her over the past three years and in 2011 she came a very close second to Mr Hamilton. Dippyhippy, You are wrong in your opinion about Alan Seldon, he was very disruptive within the Independent group and threw his toys out of the pram when he was not voted in as Leader or deputy leader, he is not as popular as you seem to think!
  15. Belmont Haywood Country Park cannot be considered because it is still in the hands of the developer, where the Academy is the land ajacent is to narrow from the gardens of the residents,( some of which are elderly people) to the railway lines, and the other land to the left belongs to Herefordshire Housing, not forgetting the traffic on the A465 which is very congested! So south of the city would not be a viable options.
  16. members of the other groups have been asking for members with relevent years of experience of adult social care, children services etc to be considered for cabinet, the administration will not consider it, even where they have members to help the cabinet members as assistants they ALWAYS pick their own group of councillors for the positions. Maybe after Thursday by-election thing will be different if the conservative candidate doesn't get in because the conservatives will lose their majority of one that they hold now!
  17. I have left a message for Mark Butler herefordshire Housing estate manager for Newton Farm, he is out of the office until wednesday I will double check with him then that he received my message.
  18. I have been contacted about the vandalised picnic benches and told as soon as BB gets a team together it will be done, no timescale given.
  19. I like to thank everyone for their kind messages of support, it is very much appreciated, Glenda
  20. My question is: why didn't they wait and relocate the Edgar Street Limes to Newmarket Street when they alter the street, another big mistake this administration did was to destroy the lime trees!!!
  21. Their list needs updating, John Jarvis is no longer Leader of the Council, ( he is chairman of adult social care scrutiny committee. ) Anthony Johnson is leader has he taken John Jarvis place?
  22. No its no joke! I could not believe it either! Roger Phillips is helping out Anthony Johnson as support member.
  23. The met office has sent out an update on the severe weather warning issued yesterday. Winds in excess of 70 to 80mph which could bring down trees and cause structual damage across England and Wales leading to power cuts and disruption to transport on Monday morning rush hour traffic. Environment Agency warns of surface water flooding incidents across most of England with forecasters predicting 20 to 40mm rain fall Sunday within 6-9 hours. The met office has issued an Amber warning meaning "be prepared" this is a developing situation and they advise people to stay up to date with forecasts and warnings over this weekend, and be prepared to change their plans". They describe the storm as "not one you see every year" and said the expected wind strengths would be similar to storms in March 2008, January 2007 and October 2000. It has also said that people should have things in place to protect themselves and their property.
  24. Jim, yes it could because some of the town/parish councillors at Ross are also county councillors.
  25. Being a councillor I find these things out, people talk.
