  1. Omg, look at the state of it! What is all that stuff at the back? If ever I saw an invitation for rats this has to be it. Graffiti looks horrendous, how can a place just fall into decay like this is so sad. They used to have a good BBQ in that garden, now look at it. Does someone still live there?
  2. About time this city got with it.
  3. Yes, looks very un-inviting.
  4. A lot of these pubs need updating, I know funds are always a problem but the Treacle Mine was never going to attract many new clients without a facelift. Sad to see another pub close but I do think the breweries could do a lot more.
  5. Good call Colin. I have had my own suspicions for sometime that you are fully aware of.
  6. I rang again this afternoon and waited again this time I hung up after 6 minutes. We were in town after so i visited instead it was quicker! Not the end of the world of course but just was shocked at being kept waiting on the line for that amount of time, even worse when your paying for the bloody call as well.
  7. I Have telephoned Herefordshire Council this morning on the number listed Tel 260500. Automated answer, (which really bugs me because now I am paying to listen to their silly messages) I waited over 14 minutes and all I kept hearing was a message saying a customer service representative will be with your shortly, alternatively I can go to their website. I waited and waited, eventually after 18 minutes I hung up in frustration. 18 minutes!! This is a joke it really is.
  8. I disagree, I thought the meeting offered quite a bit of detail in particular the information given about cctv and it was good to have an update on the police enquiries thus far. I appreciate you not being impressed by the councillors but don't be blinkered because they were unfair in my opinion to you. I think Cllr Chappell was good to call this meeting but I did feel that people were being rushed and it only lasted an hour, surely they should of been happy to carry on until ALL questions were asked, I wanted to ask a question but towards the end I felt I best not put up my hand as it was clear time was running out, under the circumstances and if the goal was to reassure local people then no time limit should of been applied in my opinion, i'm sure the panel would of been happy to stay another 30 mins if required.
  9. Meeting was very informative, I thought Cllr Chappell was a little rude to Glenda and so was Cllr Powell, no need for that but to be fair to Cllr Chappell calling this meeting was a very good idea and there were a lot of local people present. Colin spoke well and asked the right questions in my opinion and he was well received, also good to see that Hv campaign with support from GVP when she was a councillor has paid off with the announcement that the first cctv in going in next month with other smaller mobile ones too. Some people got angry and stormed out. Good to see local councillors present and a big turnout from IOC.
  10. I will be going, this is an important meeting many local people have concerns so will go hopefully it will be a good turnout.
  11. I also think its high time we updated these laws about sunday trading. Here is a website campaigning to allow stores to extend their opening hours on sundays http://opensundays.org
  12. Yes it does, glad you have it sorted and welcome to HV
  13. This is a good idea Cllr, this may go some way to reassuring local people about police presence along the GWW.
  14. Clear for me near Tesco
  15. I had same thoughts Victor lol nice story, nice to see they are revamping the tanks etc
  16. Good luck Chris.
  17. This is vile another incident within weeks of that terrible murder. When is the one and only agreed CCTV camera being installed? This year sometime yes?
  18. So you agree then that people who take up two seats because they are overweight should pay for the extra seat/weight. Well either way, if the passenger is grossly overweight in my opinion they should pay more, either by purchasing 2 seats or by paying for extra weight, how its implemented I am not bothered.
  19. Always get me that one about residents, this is the city centre, they chose to live there, knowing that there are pubs, late night clubs and bars surrounding them. You probably pay more to for living in the city centre, if its peace and quiet they seek then they should of looked at living in a much quieter location. Good luck with this application this city needs to get into the 21st century.
  20. Here's a look at how a few different airlines deal with the "customer of size:" Midwest: Like Southwest, passengers are encouraged to know their needs in advance. If staff determine that two seats are required, the seat will be sold at the lowest possible fare, with a refund available if there is one or more open seats on the flight. Air France: Passengers with "high body mass" may receive a 25 percent discount on an extra seat, knowing that if they choose to not buy the seat, they may risk not being able to fly. JetBlue: You are required to buy a second seat, and there are no refunds. Delta: The airline "works to accommodate" passengers with special needs. Upon request and availability, it will try to make sure the next seat is unoccupied. However, if the plane is full, you will most likely be asked to leave the flight and buy a second seat on the next available flight. (You can actually count on this being a fairly typical practice on most airlines.) I just read these few replies people have posted to this topic and having to purchase an extra seats:
  21. If a team of people are heavier than the agreed limit then they should pay extra, it does not matter that they are the local rugby team, whats that got to do with it? If I was grossly overweight and took up two seats then yes definitely! I would pay for the extra seats, why not? Some airlines are already charging just that. I am not sure what the limit would be but they would take an average I assume.
  22. Why not? This should be passed imo
  23. I believe I used the word harass not gullible.
  24. Well in fairness most teams charter their own flights but if your weight is in proportion to your height and is within a fair limit then there would be no issue. I would actually expect a 7ft guy to be a lot heavier than a 5'8 guy. I am confused with your argument about about only being allowed to have the same weight luggage as anyone else? I can take more weight than other people as long as I am happy to pay for the extra weight? What is your point? On your final point of course the airline has factored in extra fuel for larger people but who is ultimately paying for that extra fuel for those larger folk? You have just contradicted yourself and in turn highlighted the point Katie Hopkins is making
