Traffic is at a stand still south of Hereford again! What's with the half mile of cones all along Victoria St, for a little hole that they have dug in Edgar St? No wonder the traffic is backed up for miles south of the river! They could of placed the cones on the lights at Edgar St which still gives enough warning for the little hole. This country is mad about traffic cones and warnings, for miles before any road works beware of this and beware of that, in the rest of Europe you have a few cones explaining that road works are up ahead, what's with the endless empty lanes of just cone after cone!

I Went to the OLM...
Bill Thomas replied to Biomech's topic in Edgar Street Grid and Courtyard Theatre
We went for a wonder around this morning at about 11.15am. Went into TK Maxx and had a look and then decided to go to Debenhams for a breakfast. They open on a Sunday at 11am and stop serving breakfast at 12noon, good that, anyway managed to get our order in just in time, it was very busy. Service was pretty fast considering and staff were very pleasant to be fair, but...I was desperate not to moan but in all honesty, we had tea, which was warm and we were then presented with a tea strainer, I thought, Oh no not tea leaves is it? YEP! VILE! Then breakfast arrived, all looked good and presented well but it was NOT hot, seriously, it was warm at best, so I was disappointed. I am sure we will give the restaurant another try in the future but I think that is the last breakfast I will eat there, just hate it when food and drinks are not hot. We went into Next, store was busy, seemed quite crammed, the other store was not this small, nevertheless, I bought a few items. We had a look Frankie & Benny's, that was also busy, good to see a new steak house opening, needed one here for a while, so I really do hope that Hereford beef will be on the menu. Finally, had a coffee in Costa and just sat outside people watching for 20 mins which was nice and relaxing, it will be great once all the other units are full, lots of empty shops at the moment. We saw some people cleaning up, which was nice to see, but like someone else has mentioned I could not see a ATM so had to pay for our coffee on a card. Does anyone know if there are ATM's here? -
Well you can't put polythene bags into the green recycle bins. When are they due to collect?

Work Restarts On Former Palace Restaurant
Bill Thomas replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford City
Please forgive me Roger but where is Maccies in Commercial Rd? That is a new one on me. Well this could be a good opportunity to get these outlets onside, reference Colin's late night food campaign... Are you certain that permission was refused? Do you have anything to back this up because I am sure this would be an ideal example for Colin to use -

Councillors Responses To Lights Out Trial
Bill Thomas replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
What has the tree's got to do with it? So lets get this right, HE WAS ONBOARD until the tree's were mentioned? Surely, he is there to represent us not himself! Not interested in his own opinions either, full of himself by the sounds of things. -
Traffic Lights Campaign - Part -Time Lights 7pm-7am

There is no reason in my opinion why the traffic lights along the whole of the ring road cannot become part time after 7pm.- 82 replies

The front page is my homepage now and loads good for me and to reload it I merely click on the HV logo, I use Safari as my web browser, I used to use Chrome but prefer this one now and its free from Apple.

You cannot be more fair than that. Yes Tenants Association sounds and is completely separate to HV whereas Tenants Voice could be seen as one and the same. smartieno1 keep up the good work and CVP you do the same and both strive to help out the HH tenants, I agree entirely with dippyhippy and Colin's sentiments that two is better than 1 so join forces and work together, it's not about either of you, it's about helping the tenants.

Your efforts gentlemen are certainly appreciated, this must be even more frustrating for you people having to answer to your constituents. Well all I can say is that the claims will just keep coming in, I think I know which is the cheaper alternative.

My Wife, Two tired public servants and an Agony Aunt.
Bill Thomas replied to bobby47's topic in Open Forum
I had the same thoughts, I find HV very informative and Colin very rarely (if ever) edits or removes members posts unlike the HT and some other websites and should be congratulated on such a well run site, not criticised or branded boring!!! Nice compliment from silent bull -
