The Herefordshire Council have an online survey about the parking in Hereford. In my opinion, there are far too many disabled bays along broad street and in King Street and Bridge Street they they could increase the maximum parking time to 2 hours, at least this way you have a little more time to shop etc.. The traffic wardens are too keen to issue tickets too, all of this does not encourage people into our city. This of course is just my view but there is an online survey which I think is worth completing, see below.

I personally like the voting of threads up/down but I do think Pauline is taking this slightly personally which I am sure was not the intention when they included this feature within the system when it was written. Is there a way that members can see who voted and how they voted or is that just an admin feature perhaps?

Spot on that is CVP it's bloody wrong and in this country it's ass backwards. I have a cousin who lives in Germany and there if you work your doctors prescriptions are free if you are working but you have to pay if you don't work, sounds about right to me! I work yet I have to pay? My neighbour has not worked in over 15 years and he gets his free?? What the hell, no wonder it looks such an attractive country to live!

What you think the NHS is really good? Sorry but it's crap! I have been in many european countries and their service, waiting times and hospitals put ours to shame! So many people have been sucked into this 'we have the best free service in the World' well guess what, WE DON'T I was recently treated for a small fall in Spain, I was taken to A & E and x-rayed and treated within an hour, beautiful hospital too. Last year my son broke his ankle while playing football in France and had a very similar experience to me. Don't kid yourself about the UK's NHS it is also costing us all a fortune and is at breaking point.

We only got infinity in Hereford last year Jon and that is not in all area's. If you live in outside of the city it must be a real nightmare, what speeds do you get and where are you?

I will reiterate my previous post: What's the difference between being able to buy sandwiches, crisps and snacks or traditional fish and chips? NOTHING! We were all young once and I remember a good night out was a skin full of beer, off to a disco and a curry on the way home. I cannot believe that you cannot buy any hot food in Hereford City after 1.20am on a Saturday night, we are all treated like kids! This is more about the police trying to save money and using this bullshit as an excuse well I will be voting for the IOC in future because they seem to want to get crap like this sorted and bring Hereford into the 21st century, Christ we were all young once, it must be such a boring miserable place to go out at the weekend it really must be.

Exactly Martin! Given the choice between and proper tunnel/bridge or a subway I think most people would prefer the bridge, and just to add when we were in Bristol last week Christmas shopping we also noticed that their footbridge is heated which was a pleasant surprise, and this is the one we used a few months ago at the Arndale shopping centre in Manchester. Still let's hope that the shared space will work and there will be no need to discuss a bridge again.

We are talking about crossing over the main ring road (dual carriageway) from the ESG into the town and obviously the quickest way is directly across the main road but you are the one harping on about people with disabilities, old or young including parents and grandparents with pushchairs and prams as long as you are happy for these people to negotiate across the busy road in all weathers then fine, but me personally, I would prefer my 82 year old mother to get out of the car and be able to go from one side to the other without any of these obstacles and staying warm, dry and safe at the same time especially now that they came up with the brilliant idea to fill in the subways. We will never all agree and I like Colin accept that it is far too late to even try and get something like this installed but what I do agree with is that this was an 'alternative' opportunity completely missed.

With respect, I think you need to get out a bit more. Have a look at some of the photo's already added within this thread, it works in other cities and Hereford is no different, I think you are just putting up obstacles, this is just another option that could of been used. A bridge would of been privately funded too so do not worry yourself about the costs.

I agree, these figures MUST be somewhere or easy enough to count people in or out of the UK
