I often see articles with some real vaild issues being raised and letters written to the Hereford Times but nothing seems to get done about it, do the coucillors actually read these letters and articles? HT should run a section on follow ups and any action taken or leave featured articles/letters in place every week until something is done. Name & Shame that's what I say!!

Lights need either turning off altogther or as a trial at the very very least. The traffic certainly moves and roads are clear everytime they are out of order that's for sure.

I am with Megilleland,Bobby and Frank on this one. Ridiculous WASTE of money! :Angry_32: This council needs to get a grip and stop wasting money on stupid things like HEREford county signs that are not needed and look at more ways of cost saving. This is a good article and needs airing more! Martin (Megilleland) you should write to the Hereford Times. I too would be interested to see what our councillors think about it. Welcome Bobby always nice to see new ACTIVE members, welcome to the club!

Cannot Purchase Hot Food In Hereford City After 1.30am
Bill Thomas replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
There will always be a certain amount of city center and alcohol related issues but you get this in every city/town and there should be enough resources to deal with these incidents accordingly, but this has nothing to do with buying food, hot or cold! what a load of rubbish! Quite happy for people to go to Tesco's which is open 24 hours, so it's okay to allow people that have been out drinking to turn up there or at the local service station but you cannot grab a take away on your way home? What's wrong with home delivery after 1.30am?- 291 replies

Cannot Purchase Hot Food In Hereford City After 1.30am
Bill Thomas replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
I completely agree with Adrian Pitt's comments, this Council is destroying our City! You cannot park anywhere anymore! Disabled spaces everywhere!!! are you telling me that there are more disabled people now than 20 years ago? NO maybe a few more scammers but that's about it, Council should start looking at putting in additional parking spaces and not pedestrianise everything! Broad Street and King Street next! :Thumbs-Down: as food late night hot food this is another pathetic implimentation of how to destroy local business's, What's the difference between being able to buy sandwhiches, crisps and snacks or traditional fish and chips? NOTHING! We were all young once and I remember a good night out was a skin full of beer, off to a disco and a curry on the way home. I cannot believe that you cannot buy any hot food in Hereford City after 1.20am on a Saturday night, we are all treated like kids!- 291 replies

We appreciate your efforts Councillor but they still have not removed the dead posts that you gave them a deadline for and other work, so I think some of your requests are not being done! We are all still waiting for the KEEP CLEAR signs on the Belmont roundabout to be changed as well as additional lighting along the GWW I could go on, I know it's not your fault but you need to ask yourself WHY is this work not being done? get some names!

Do we have an update?

New Footpath Connecting Belmont Rd - Sydwall Rd
Bill Thomas replied to Colin James's topic in Belmont
I thought that you were the BRPC Clerk or has your job description changed to Councillor? Surely if we are not happy or want to air our views we would contact our ELECTED Councillors? I don't remember electing you to be fair. Colin, as per usual you can guarantee that this will be a half hearted job and of course they are not going to give lights to a footpath that would be asking too much lol -
Disgusting in my opinion, we pay far too much now :Angry_32:

This is a beautiful picture Colin, you must of been up bright and early then?

Hang on a minute, so who passed the original planning for this store then? so none of you had any input whatsoever? Regardless of that, you are missing the point. It does not matter that Walmart own Asda and they are not in difficulty, progress is being halted based upon the levels of traffic, which in this case, I believe is more the Councils failings past and present in dealing with this traffic problem. Noise? what noise? This superstore had it's planning passed, so no good moaning about it now, putting a few petrol pumps in is hardly going to make any difference.
-
Unbelievable answers from you and the other two Councillors...so what you are actually saying is because this council is so incompetent and has failed for years and years to sort out the traffic issue that their planning application should be turned down then? because it will make it worse? how pathetic is that for an excuse, the council should be addressing this traffic issue! instead of preventing progress for companies in an already difficult economic climate.

Comes to something when keeping within a budget is more important than preventing a serious hazard for kids, I mean, wire netting..come on!

That's about right Mick. Totally illegal and an invasion of privacy obviously.
