The other bike without a saddle was outside the shop on corner of Kilpeck Avenue and Brampton Road.

Noticed two bikes have had their saddles removed or pinched. There is one in this picture.

I told you it would get worse! (continued)

I have just got BBLP contractors to cut the garage strip mentioned above. They said the verge isn't on their list, but it only took them 5 mins to strim it. These separate bodies - Muir Housing, Herefordshire Housing and BBLP need to get together and sort out this grass cutting and street maintenance . It is a pity that for the large open space Argyll Rise that they don't collect the grass so the area is suitable for families and children to play on - it just looks a mess. The verges on the estate roads are also neglected. It is amazing that such basic maintenance can't be done with a sense of pride. These organisations have got personnel within them who should get out of the office and walk round and check the state of these blighted areas. -

A month later and I have cleared the alley way as it is apparent that no one else is going to do it. The grass verge at the back of the Muir Close garages has never been cut this year and is still a mess. -
Deteriorating road surfaces shake up cyclists?
megilleland replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
Just cycled down the resurfaced Yazor Brook route, Lovely surface. Shame that some idiots thought it would be a good idea to throw the contractor's wire panels and cones into the brook. -
Years ago the problem was fly posting, although today all the advertising banners seen at supermarket entries and car parks are just as bad. Blight is everywhere and it drags down the quality of life around us.

Back on my bike and cycling across the city. Newton Farm to Bodenham Road daily and surprised the roads are as bad as they are for cyclists. My list includes tree roots beginning to lift the surface of Great Western Way, Canonmoor Street (pitted road surface and nice pothole just before Edgar Street), Blackfriars Street from the traffic lights to Widemarsh Street (forcing you to cycle in the middle of the road to find a smooth surface), Canal Road (patchwork of repairs), Southbank Road leading into Bodenham Road (pitted and rough surface - a real boneshaker downhill on the return). I suppose no problem if you are on a BMX and running wide tyres. How's your ride - nice and smooth?

BBLP raking it in again - no one else available?

The office planning work will enable Herefordshire Council to assess the opportunity for greater flexible working, allow for improved collaboration within teams and create shared sites in generating efficiencies in the use of office spaces and officer’s time. Internal office planning was considered however it is agreed that this work requires specialist skill and knowledge with an external view to deliver an appropriate solution. Example of Portsdown Office Limited work - quite fitting for the council? How much have they spent on this building - didn't they spend a lot of money on the roof? -

Planning system in England is ‘not working well’
megilleland replied to megilleland's topic in Planning
Listening to H&W radio this morning and main story about no thought been given to the support infrastructure concerning building 5000 houses around Worcester. The Worcester Royal says a lack of funding £7.7 million from the developers will exasperate the running of A&E, already under pressure. The hospital once a city hospital and now a county hospital, and I predict to become a regional hospital, it seems amazing that there is no overhaul strategy, and if there is, it is drastically in need of life saving attention. Hereford will also end up in this state until it becomes absorbed into a regional Clinical Commisioning Group, already being talked about with Worcester and people will die being transferred 26 miles and waiting in queuing ambulances. Add in housing developments planned all around Herefordshire and the infrastructure will collapse. Building bigger hospitals mean local community hospitals being closed. -

Footpath as shown above between 34 Muir Close and Muir garages now totally blocked by shrubs. Grass strip also behind Muir garages and Sherborne Close still not cut. Will no one react at Muir Housing, Herefordshire Housing, or BBLP. -
Agree. Building Control have been up to get our extension on a forward course. Fortunately I have taken photos of the building stages and these will help me prove that the work is progressing correctly. My partner is in a care home in Hereford until the work is finished hopefully September, although she is returning to the QE for a further operation in the next few months and this will involve more hospitalisation. She has been away 500 days now since her stroke on the 25th March 2018 and been in hospitals in Birmingham (QE & Moseley Hall), Hereford, Bromyard, Bristol, return to Bromyard and now in care home. I gave my job up completely and at present living off my pensions, savings, but things financially will drastically change in the future. I have had a good insight into the workings of the NHS while visiting her nearly every day and a lot of the problems appear to be at the management end. The Tories continuing plans to privatise the NHS will only compound patients and relatives problems. An inspector falls: what the building control insurance crisis means for the housing sector. Aedis Building Inspectors unreachable Just been caught up in this fiasco after having paid £660 to have an approved inspector check my building regulations affecting a new extension being built for my disabled partner. Aedis the company the inspectors were working through has gone into voluntary liquidation as a result of being unable to secure ongoing insurance. Aedis Regulatory Services (ARS) was carrying out building control on around 12,000 projects, which is approximately 5% of the construction industry, according to its boss. Housing industry figures warned the wider crisis has "potential consequences for housing supply". Joe Ayre, managing director of ARS, told Inside Housing: “Without insurance we can’t operate. For six weeks [since it expired], we haven’t taken any business in, we haven’t taken any money in. There’s no light at the end of the tunnel.” I now have to pay Herefordshire County Council £540.00 to check and verify the work. Considering that there are many people affected who acted in good faith it is surprising that no authority has investigated this maladministration.

Since his appointment as Prime Minister, Boris Johnson in his introductory speeche, he proposes to spend billions on national projects to benefit the economy. Where will this money come from? Following on from my comment above it is worth watching this video - "Steve Baker MP at the historic debate in UK Parliament on Money Creation". Note only a few MPs debating this topic. As someone said if they had been debating a pay rise for themselves the chamber would have been filled to capacity. The government and banks are hell bent on creating a cashless society - its just I think, a system that has been with us already for years. There is no money. Unable to start video at 0.00 scroll back to start at the beginning.

They've been out today at long last and cut the grass all down to their usual standard and left a mess behind them. How do they expect children to play on these areas. I am surprised no one has caught Lyme's Disease the grass was so long. The alley way up the side of the garages next to 34 Muir Close is still blocked by shrubs. -

Does the Council and BBLP have a public email address. I can't find one on the council's website. They only want you to use their report forms which are not easy to use if you want to copy in other people. -

Volvo Crashed Into St Nicholas Church Wall

As long as it takes to cut the grass in Muir Close - possibly never. Surely the church has insurance to get the work done and reclaim it from the other party's insurance. -

Regarding the state of the trees in this area here are some examples of creative topiary carried out by various unknown individuals in the area. They don't look right, but maybe it's me . -

I've never seen anybody or Phil Edwards cutting this area of grass. Today it's raining and the next scheduled cut is from 15th August to 21st August and the final cut 16th September to 20th September. Over half way through this year and nobody cares. -

megilleland replied to megilleland's topic in Newton Farm
It appears the grass cutting schedule shows only 4 cuts a year. BBLP missed the first one, possibly due to the weather at the time. Obviously if they miss a cut they don't bother to come back when its dried out. The next cut is 15th July to 19th July. Wait and see if they turn up. No reply from my councillor from email sent 9th July. He needs to make a site visit to see the problems himself. Only 2 days left to react - any chance? -

Getting off the bus this evening at 6pm came across a woman and I presume her daughter with a litter picker and black bag. In 20 years this is the first time I have come across another member of the public on Newton Farm trying to keep the environment tidy - well done. -
This problem has been ongoing for 20 years. Still waiting for Balfour Beatty to come and cut the grass and the trees are becoming a nightmare for people living underneath them. No news from our local councillor following an email sent. Herefordshire Housing and Muir Housing also involved and responding with site visits to assess situation. Basically Hereford Council and BBLP lack of interest creates blight on our estates and they don't care. Regarding this topic it's a shame that the old postings can't be replied to. Also I note that the posts on new topics are not numbered. This was useful in the past.

Smile Roger your on Candid Camera: The government won't be using this technology just for child abuse which they failed dismally to uncover over previous years. They will be using this for promoting for their own agendas. Coupled with 5G everything you do will be under surveillance when you leave the house. Oh I forgot, Alexa is also listening to you and your smart TV is watching you in your living room. Won't be long before the robocops are on the street herding you on your way. Dubai police debut world's first 'Robocop' and this was 2 years ago wonder where they are at now.
