They have started to put this in motion and go down the road of regionalism as espoused by the EU and aided by our government. It won't be long before we go down this road and hand everything over to the Marches LEP. Council speak Jordan says it will mean less people doing jobs, but he is willing to sacrifice these local jobs and hand them over to a private company based somewhere else in the UK. I can see Balfour Beatty and other corporate organisations sweeping in here and making a killing.

Fraudulent banks, utility companies and corrupt courts
megilleland replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
A lot of protests. This FOI sent yesterday. Maybe someone should be asking Jesse Norman what's going on regarding free speech. This request was worrying: Censorship yes. Totally unaccountable - what's going on? It appears that while ATVOD spend a lot of time looking at pornographic sites and getting paid handsomely for doing so They tell us what we can watch and what we can't. -
Yes, after casting himself into the wilderness, he has returned to lead us to the promised land. That is if he can see a way through the grass!

UK Column still censored/threatened by quango AVTOD for producing television-like programmes. Today, UK Live coming form a car somewhere in Plymouth. See the 25min presentation here. The start of internet censorship - everyone putting content on internet is affected. -
Just seen my post and it looks like I have posted too much - sorry!

I think Belmont voice is a fantastic medium and has brought together many people who have a common interest in matters affecting the city. We don't always agree, but with each poster highlighting some aspect of such issues we get a broader and more informed point of view. To get news on the city and county we rely on BBC H&W, but how many of the topics raised on this website get any attention from the station - at this very moment they are talking about the royal family and are they worth the money spent on them. There's a topic for discussion, but I won't be contributing. With the Hereford Journal unfortunately finished and the Hereford Times only published weekly, citizens only get a report on stories well after the event has taken place. For example the Hereford United march today to Brockington won't be fully reported till next Thursday, when the issues surrounding the club will have moved onto something more surprising. A lot of views on this site are made by people passing by, maybe through using the search engines. To find a topic which grabs your attention, and to stay with it, isn't easy as you have to scroll through the home page to find it. I think the forum page under Site Navigation should be the home page as it immediately give a broader view of what topics you can comment on. Do we post too much? No, you are not forced to comment, but for a lot of people it allows them to get something off their chest. I enjoy surfing the internet and trawling through the links and discovering things which add to or detract from the topics being discussed. I hope younger people put forward their views - they are the future beneficiaries of the city. The site has brought together posters for social events and audiences with King Bobby, so overall, Hereford Voice does a magnificent job for everyone interested in the welfare of our city. May it well continue and thank you to Colin for looking after it. Welcome to the site Mole, I just noticed your post.

Wonga sorted out. Now they need to look at local authorities and their processing of council tax demands with threats, using supposedly legal and court documents they produce themselves. -

It looks as if UK Column has been suspended from broadcasting any further programmes until they pay a Regulatory Fee to ATVOD. ATVOD is the independent co-regulator for the editorial content of UK video on demand services that fall within the statutory definition of On-Demand Programme Services. ATVOD was previously known as The Association for Television On-Demand. This looks like this quango, is part of the state taking control of the Internet as proposed by Teresa May. Probably because UK Column has been hitting a few nerves and they don't like it. The beginning of state censorship. Don't worry UK Column will be back soon. -

If football at Edgar Street is finished following all the protracted meetings in the comiing months, maybe those trying to takeover the ground can see this as a site to dump waste from the Edgar Street development when it kicks off. Imagine this situation in Bromley coming to Hereford and complementing the uncut grass. On Bull News this letter "The Feltham Arena Abomination & Andy Lonsdale" confirms Mr Lonsdale past performance.

Just been outside and passed through Sherborne Close/ Brewardine Close and this is what you see: Glenda this is the area behind Sherborne Close electricity sub-station. I believe the council should be cutting this area, but if not Herefordshire Housing have missed it. As usual the fly tipping is carrying on and is being dumped behind the sub-station and also in this long grass. Noted today that the waste bins in Muir Close have been emptied, but this rubbish dumped by the bin, has been left. A lot of people are dumping items beside these bins across the city. These two items have been here for over a week. As I keep saying there is no co-ordinated plan in this city by the council or Balfour Beatty to keep it tidy. Gdj points out the same concern in post 269 and a lot of confusion has been caused by the lack of an adoption policy between HC, developers and Housing Associations resulting in parcels of land getting cut and not getting cut.

Ledbury election details: NOTICE OF ELECTION Election of a Unitary Councillor for the Ledbury Ward to be held on Thursday, 17th July 2014 Herefordshire Council Ledbury Ward Election 17 July 2014 Election Timetable Ledbury Ward STATEMENT OF PERSONS NOMINATED Leominster election details: NOTICE OF ELECTION Election of a Unitary Councillor for the Leominster South Ward to be held on Thursday, 17th July 2014 Leominster South Ward Election 17 July 2014 Election Timetable Leominster South Ward STATEMENT OF PERSONS NOMINATED With UKIP standing together with IOC in Ledbury, I can see the vote being split and the Tories getting back in. It's worse in Leominster with The Greens and Labour joining in. -
Seems the Olin College is not without its own financial problems. To be fair the Olin College response here.

No grass cutting courses then? Seems to be a lot of American input here, don't we have any UK educational experts on how to set universities?

Petition: Reverse Decision To Reduce Grass Cutting
megilleland replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Unfortunately voting UKIP in Herefordshire won't get the Tories out it will just split the vote and let them back in. All it needs is only one opposition group on the ballot paper to kick the Tories out into the long grass.- 427 replies

Neighbourhood plans are all the vogue at the moment. Plenty of rural parishes jumping in and having a say about what happens in their patch. Even Belmont parish Council have had a meeting about this: Future Development Of Belmont Rural. Any news on what happened at the meeting Colin? I thought that this would be a good idea, but as Simon Browne points out in the topic "When is a Plan not a Plan", they appear to carry little weight in helping local communities protect their environment. So why do them and would the city be any better off if it had one? Would it prevent the fire station being moved if the locals wanted to ear mark or save the Bath Street site for something else on their Neighbourhood Plan? Maybe our city councillors could explain where thay stand on this issue.

Petition: Reverse Decision To Reduce Grass Cutting
megilleland replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
At least the visitors can see the outcome even if our cabinet can't. Not only in Hereford, but all over the country the councils have been told not to cut the grass. This neglect has got to be a vote winner for the other parties. It is no good leaving it to the local Cabinet, Pickles and Cameron who just want to cover the countryside witn concrete and waste money fighting other peoples' wars. Time to pull the drawbridge up and get this country sorted out.- 427 replies
