  1. Hereford Times: 12:50pm Friday 13th June 2014 in News By Bill Tanner
  2. I imagine the city council will hold the charter.
  3. On their property register 76 farms and small holdings altogether.
  4. Yes all gathered from the hard work of Herefordshire citizens past and present. Some of this property was bequeathed by individuals in perpetuity, but that doesn't mean anything with this Cabinet. It may not be accurate, only because some of it may have been sold off or given away already and other bits are being lined up for future sales.
  5. Useful easy to read information here: Blue-Green Algae (Cyanobacteria) and their Toxins This Water Talk document covers a wide range of topics related to cyanobacteria, their toxins, and your health: Background Effects on humans and animals Drinking water Dialysis patients Recreational water Fish consumption Blue-green algal products
  6. Correct ragwert. lake, noun a body of fresh or salt water of considerable size, surrounded by land. pond, noun a body of water smaller than a lake, sometimes artificially formed, as by damming a stream.
  7. Taken some extracts from Hereford Times articles: Who are these people (Consultants - usually means fat fees) and what are their backgrounds. I know Tony Agombar had a troubled past involved with high jackng lorries, but what of this lot? A good start arguing already. This chap Ellis is not at all popular with the fans judging by readers comments. He appears to be putting himself up as the saviour of Hereford United. Background here at Crystal Sports Management, A lot of self promotion here and back slapping. He can smell this is a great project, but I can smell something fishy. That's all Hereford United need is just one mistake and it could be him. Some of his comments are not very coherent, Sounds like a very agitated man. Likely to disappear when the going gets hot. The amazing thing about this lot is that they will be dealing with Herefordshire Cabinet in the future and we all know what the result of this will be. A lack lustre match probably going into extra time with all the players and managers getting fantastic pay rises and the ground sold off to pay for it all. I don't see Hereford Futures playing in this league, but I am sure they will get a wild card to meet the winners of the Monday meeting at Brockington. I wonder how many own goals will be scored. Captain Tony Johnson says we have got a great team and I am sure we will give the citizens of Hereford a good run for their money.
  8. We had a meeting with our Housing Association this week, Muir Group, and in the course of discussions about service charges, the state of the uncut verges was raised. We have been arguing for years that the open space which is divided into two areas part cut by Muir and HC. All this land initially should have been adopted and cut by HC. But as we stand today all areas would have been left in a state of overgrown neglect and the street would have looked a right mess. Muir have agreed to cut the HC pieces in the meantime to tidy up the street and today their gardener was fighting his way through the overgrown sections to restore it to a better condition than if the council had done it. Issues about grass cutting and Muir charging residents nearly £4000 a year service chagre to do this are a constant source of complaint, but I have to take my hat off to Muir for stepping in to tidy up the area so quickly. Also a thank you to Cllr Glenda Powell for sitting in at our meeting with Muir and offering useful advice on how to reduce the service charge in the future.

  10. Hereford Times: 5:17am Thursday 12th June 2014 in News Are BID (Business Improvement District) going to be involved with this? Seems to make sense if they are.
  11. Support For Guy Taylor Needed On today's UK Column News - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1v_ntEj7qs - Guy Taylor gave an update on his continuing battle with fraudulent banks, utility companies and corrupt courts. To give a little background, Guy's fight began when a Barclays Bank manager allegedly created a fraudulent loan in Guy's name using a forged signature. Details of this can be seen in an episode of our documentary series Insight which can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehklozL6b90 Recently events came to a head when Guy had Bodenham Manor, a property bought by his father for cash and for which there is no outstanding debt, stolen from him when bailiffs, supported by 50 or more police evicted him and his tenants from the property. Guy has demonstrated that all this has happened on the basis of fraudulent documents, and as he showed on the UK Column News today, he has confirmation from the court where the latest documents were apparently issued from that they did not issue them and no hearing took place there. Now they are attempting to steal his own home, on which, again, there is no outstanding debt. So we are asking everyone who can possibly do it to come to Guy's home on Tuesday to support Guy in his efforts to see off this unlawful intimidation. We need as many people on site as possible equipped with cameras, video cameras and notebooks to record events as they happen. The eviction is due to start at 11am on Tuesday the 17th June 2014 at Pear Tree Farm, Carey, Hereford HR2 6NG. We hope to see you there, but whether you can get there or not, please pass this to as many people as possible, and keep an eye on our lunchtime news programmes for updates.
  12. From herefordshire Council News: 11 June 2014 Reviving the velodrome topic is there no possibility that the site could be developed to provide a multi purrpose arena with hotel covering athletics, football, cycling, music & cultural events. Ideas?
  13. Hereford expelled from Conference League. News from H&W radio 4.15pm. Mr Agombar couldn't have had the funds to save the club.
  14. Here's a report from The Hereford Time and The Ledbury Reporter following the Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Authority meeting today: and Strange that Hereford Times not quoting Jim Kenyon as they did in the The Ledbury reporter. I wonder if any mention of the fire station was discussed as we had no agenda to follow. Maybe Jim will tell us.
  15. Thought I would put a bit of background into this: How the Butter Market Hereford looked in the past. Hereford Buttermarket Regeneration Competition RRA reviews shortlist Butter Market Hereford competition entry images Austin-Smith:Lord wins Hereford Buttermarket contest Alternative plan for Hereford Buttermarket
  16. Good point. The removal of grass after cutting is going to be a problem. Even the council don't take it away.
  17. Fire station being discussed today? No agenda on H&WFR website. Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Authority Date: Monday 9 June 2014 Time: 10.30 am - 12.30 pm Location: County Hall, Worcester
  18. From Council News today: Are the Council just trying to off load it or will there be a requirement to restore it as previously planned? Could work well if a co-operative took it over.
  19. I understand they come all the way from Monmouth to Saxon Gate to cut a piece of grass. My partner's daughter tells me this regularly.
  20. It is not only Herefordshire residents that are complaining. Sounds like this no-cutting directive has been put out across the country by the Colition Government as some sort of scheme to cause dissent.
  21. Maybe this is the answer: Weed-eating goats coming back to Dry Creek The city is working with Goat Green LLC to get 220 goats this summer at a cost of $50,000. Sounds like a good idea. If this works then we can replace the Cabinet with monkeys.
  22. Why not let sheep and goats loose over the city they'll soon have it cut down to size.
  23. The question to ask is how long do this council want the public to cut the grass. At what point will they resume normal service? I don't mind keeping the outside of my property tidy, I pick up the litter when I see it and do several streets and an open area for an hour every Sunday. Is that good enough? This is a scheme to divide the community. There are going to be people who will say why should I do that I pay council tax. There are people who couldn't care less about the environment what with the flytipping we get around here. The agencies who had the manpower and authority are shirking their responsibilities. The only agency cutting the grass is Herefordshire Housing, but that is only to keep their open space attractive until they can sell or dispose of it in the future. What's happening to the city council's neighbourhood plan? All the other parishes seem to be be well under way with theirs.
