There's obviously been a conscious effort made to omit any detail that the 'Public' don't need to know. That probably left the press release writer with not very much to circulate. Whoever wrote it/released it will probably be subject of an inquest on Monday morning as it really was rubbish. I really can't fathom why the pictures weren't circulated with a caption that they wanted to speak to the person in connection with a 'serious sexual offence' and giving the general location and date. That would diffuse the confusion and probably end up with the same number of potential responses.

'Want to speak' seems to be the current politically correct way of saying 'want to arrest' .... It seems to happen all the time in press releases. The only thing you can take from that 'vague' press release is that the two rapes were on the same night by one man. The wording is ~ 'At about 12.40am on Tuesday 9 February a man entered a property on Whitecross Road and raped two 17-year-old girls.' The scenario all seems strange and unusual.

I think it probably is a tiny bit early to be able to compare February 2016 car parking revenue with February 2015 revenue. Some of the parking is paid for via RingGo and I haven't a clue what the delay would be for the Council to see that revenue appear on their systems. I think you'd need to wait three months to get an idea. Also if Penalty Charge Notices are factored into the revenue figures then there will be a delay in receiving payment from those. I see all the parking money goes into a 'big bag' .... Councillor Rone did not seem overly forthcoming about what it was being spent on.

The microchipping I agree with. The wheel will only come off in the papers when you get some crazy case (in something like the Daily Mail) when someone is fined a lot for something stupid. You won't see an army of pet scanning patrol wardens ever. Not when 'parking' is the 'cash cow' for the Council.

Why try to stir the pot about 'foreign' ? All you can tell from the image is that the guy is 'white' ..... The press release wording still seems strange to me and seems to be some sort of 'fishing trip' ....

I don't think it's the best ever press release. I would guess the cops know far more than it suggests. Might he already be in custody? Who knows ? In any event it could lead to people perceiving that an unknown rapist has been on the loose locally for the last three weeks ....

If you re-read the Council statement there is an interesting paragraph concerning 'asylum seekers'. This group appear to be separate from the 20 families and 6 single kids .... 'Asylum seekers' indicates to me that these people are already in the UK having registered. It says we 'could' get some here. I think you can replace the word 'could' with 'will'. My guess is we'll have up to 100 single adult males dumped here ~ of varying Nationalities. This will be on top of the 17 or so Iraqis who jumped out of the lorry at the fruit farm the other day.

Looking at the Council website you can see what the current licence is that they're trying to remove .... Council Website So the removal of the licence certainly won't close the shop down. In fact before this current licence for booze was granted the shop was trading with no licence as it didn't need one. Council Website I think you could construe that the authorities are not happy with the shop and even tho there's no evidence that they're infringing the booze aspect they'll have that licence away as the licence holder is a criminal. When the European Shop on Commercial Road was busted for 100,000 dodgy cigarettes in 2014 the guy was given a 4 month suspended prison sentence so Mr. Sahl who was caught here with just about 5% of that quantity will get a joke sentence when he appears at Court ... He certainly will not be going to jail ...

And it is virtually non Muslim round here. That's why we're only getting 6. They'll probably need home tuition and a very reliable foster parent to go to. And it's not as if those are coming out of our ears. It's probably a lot easier to take a family unit but best of luck with parachuting such a family into somewhere like Leominster. They'd be like a fish out of water.
