  1. Hardly old, it was only announced by the Council last Friday. Ellie Chowns has been replaced by Trish Marsh and some of the job titles have been rationalised. All seems reasonable to me.
  2. Rory's there, why wouldn't he be?
  3. Agreed. Parishes are consulted about some issues eg Planning by the District and their comments are considered. Other issues are dealt with solely by the Parish. In addition, you can be a Parish Councillor without needing to be a District Councillor, there is no enforced 'chosing' involved.
  4. From IOC Facebook page today; "We are proud to be part of the Alliance of Independent and Green councillors forming the new administration for Herefordshire Council. We look forward to delivering on our election promises - especially the move to a more inclusive and collaborative committee system of decision-making - as quickly as the council's constitution allows."
  5. Nothing has changed? Everything has changed! Give them a chance, the first Cabinet meeting is on 13 June - no doubt they will start to discuss it then - it's not something that can happen at a stroke.
  6. I am certainly not being disrespectful to anyone. I was merely stating the facts about the application for others that might be reading the thread. Clearly, you see different facts to me, and so I will leave it there.
  7. There will be 24 bungalows (1, 2 and 3 bed), and 47 houses (2 and 3 bed) as per the planning application. Whilst they have their benefits, bungalows are a poor use of land generally, and some of the bungalows here are chalet with rooms upstairs to address that.
  8. As I said, only one planning application has ever been submitted, and that hasn't been amended at all, so I can't say what it was you saw.
  9. Only one planning application has ever been submitted. Perhaps you saw the public consultation stage scheme, which may well have been amended to take into account feedback.
  10. It's the planning application, as yet undetermined, so it is current information.
  11. None of them are for open market sale. There will be; 20 x Social Rent, 17 x Affordable Rents , 17 x Shared Ownership, 17 Rent to Buy. Of these, 18 will be bungalows (1, 2 and 3 bed), 47 will be houses (2 and 3 bed) and 6 'OT Units' (bungalows, whatever OT may be). Original tenants will be offered new properties. At least, that is the plan ...
  12. Legal fees for the farm sales?
  13. Details now on the HC website - a residential Whitecross address. Is this just a mailbox? Councillor Bernard Hunt, 42 Hewitt Avenue, Hereford, HR4 0QR Home: 01432 367674 Work: Bernard.Hunt@herefordshire.gov.uk
  14. Dear oh dear. It’s Our County’s Whitecross ward member Sue Boulter has stood down today May 10. https://www.herefordtimes.com/news/17632626.county-councillor-resigns-just-a-week-after-election/
  15. Too much to hope that the Council would update their website with Councillor details in a timely manner - perhaps check there in a month or so ...
  16. You can't, easily. It's a Building Control matter and none of their stuff is in the public domain in the way that planning is. You would have to do a FOI request, I think. Comments by 'Thetruthwillcomeoutintheend' (Mr Tobin?) in the HT were largely spurious and inaccurate. Architects don't 'supervise'. This implies a continuous presence on site. Architects don't issue 'guarantee's'. They can issue Professional Consultants Certificates which are normally valid for 6 years. Building Control don't 'supervise'. Drawings don't get 'lost' in this digital age. it would seem to me that resident's should be well aware of what has happened and should be talking to the Council via their management company to establish a way forward and a way to repay the Council for the costs incurred and imposed on the council tax payer for deficiencies in a private development.
  17. Given that Cllr Hey will also be Mayor this year, she may be too busy to come knocking on your door ... Her deputy elect IOC Paul Stevens lost his seat at Widemarsh Parish Ward, so that position is yet to be re-allocated. Given that (according to City Council minutes), in the four years since elected, he has declined all invitations to civic events, stating he does not partake in official or civic events, it's probably just as well.
  18. She was an IOC Hereford City Councillor for Tupsley Ward, now promoted to play with the big boys and fair doos, anyone who manages to depose BW is to be applauded. I'm not sure of the new make up of the City Council, I haven't seen any analysis as yet, but I expect he'll have one or two blues for moral support.
  19. She won Miss Swinglehurst, Elissa Jane, The Conservative Party Candidate. Votes 653 Ms Setterfield, Maggie, Green Party. Votes 552
  20. I think that should be EX cabinet members!
  21. Happy days!
  22. Unlike every other Council in the Country, Herefordshire are content not to bother start counting votes until 9am this morning; Due to the number of contested district and parish elections we will be counting everything on Friday 3 May 2019 from 9am until finished. We will begin with counting the votes for the district elections in the morning, and follow with the parishes towards the afternoon. Due to the number ... same as the last time and the time before that, surely?
  23. Nothing short of blatant electioneering about a non-issue. Some very questionable stories running in the HT over the last couple of days, all arguably trying to promote or discredit certain candidates.
  24. I do find it disingenuous that candidates ask for your vote but will not tell you where they live - this seems to be a recent trend and seems to be predominantly Con and UKIP candidates. (address in Herefordshire) or (address in Forest of Dean) is not good enough. In Central Ward, no one has knocked on my door yet, but I've had several well written flyers from the Greens, who seemed to have started ages ago, one from the Con which reads as expected, several from the Lib Dems, which are appallingly written, vague in the extreme and promising a bypass to solve everything and nothing from the so called 'Independent' proposed by Kenyon. I have to say that IOC have produced a very well written and comprehensive manifesto. I don't agree with all of it, but they are at least making the effort. The Con one, by contrast, is 6/7 pages of bluster and sound bites, no real plan as such, but oh so much promised.
  25. The same one that gave a false name and address and drove off after a crash in 2007, but later thought better of it. For failing to stop after an accident, Greenow was given a £300 fine and eight penalty points were put on his driving licence. For driving without due care and attention he was fined £200 and his licence was endorsed. Prosecution costs and a victim surcharge took the total Greenow must pay to £575. The local Con Ass said they fully supported him. The same one who obtained planning permission for a new house in the open countryside, contrary to policy and contrary to officer recommendation, signed off by the planning committee's conservative chairman's casting vote. It's just an independent way of behaving isn't it?!
