From the HT POLICE have confirmed they received a call about a dog worrying sheep in a field near Hereford. Officers were also told of a collision involving a dog and a pick-up truck in Dinedor shortly after 6pm on Tuesday. A spokesperson for Hereford City Southside and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team said: We've had a report of a dog worrying sheep. The farmer has tried to separate the dog and in the process it was hit by a vehicle and was injured. There is no further police action at this time.â€

Amanda , I have to wear two hearing aids for " noise induced hearing loss ," one thing I can say is that over the 12 years I have been a " Service User " ( think that's the correct NHS word ) I have no complaints about the Audiology Dept at the Hospital . The Service is excellent . Hopefully they will sort out your hearing loss for the better . It's no fun being deaf .

Sainsburys have had a Petrol,Station for years without any apparent problem . As already stated the suggestion is that the majority of customers would have also been shopping at the Store so one must presume that any extra traffic will be minimal .

Greenknight - that's a super thought , thank you . ( I get my free coffee from Waitrose so others can take advantage of the offer ) Must add , that since the disaster in Nepal I and Mrs U have worked out how many free coffees we receive from Waitrose over a month and donated the amount to the Nepal Appeal . Our son is an Expedition Leader and exactly this time last year he was in Nepal with a group of Students - wonderful but so poor country . I know , having served with the Gurkhas in Malaya and Boreno , as other know who have served in the Armed Forces that we owe the Gurkhas and Nepal so much . Rambled on a bit , off post but I know you will understand.

Really sad and so unnecessary . The BBLP person quoted was " The Knowledge Centre Manager " . Would love to read her Job Description ............! -
Hopefully the Regiment who reside in the village plus those on Camp ( or on Deployment and have postal vote ) will have read the relevant papers and vote accordingly . As an aside I and Mrs U have completed our postal vote and it's now in the Post Box - just hope that the Ruck works !

Greenknight said ......I don,t know Julian but I hope he might choose a similar path to me where to make a stand, see justice served on those who have abused their position of trust and then quietly walk away comfortable in mind, body and spirit. .. I agree fully with Greenknights post including his last paragraph above . I am very sure that the Officer dealing with the Complaint against the Police is an experienced honest Officer who will seek out any wrongdoing by Officers he is tasked to investigate. I am sure that the Investigating Officer will ask Julian / Amanda to keep their own Council whilst the investigation is proceeding , it will not help the Enquiry by drip feeding progress to us on the HV. -

Super news , it's what we expected - common sense prevailed . Now please continue with the Complaint against Officers of the West Mercia Constabulary Bobby 47 's last Sentance is , to my opinion the way ahead - as you say , the majority of the Officers are hard working , courageous Officers but let's bring the others to task ....... -
Dippy , it's me that wandered off , the posts relating to the correct building are very interesting. COLIN , any chance of changing the heading to the correct name if the building ?
-
Dippy , of course you are correct - senior moment , ( again ) . Apologies for posting pure rubbish.

I think that the Eye Hospital moved to the County Hospital some 10+ years ago and for the last few years there had been a large advertising board outside the premises suggesting the the Retirement Building Company , McCarthy and Stone we're going to build retirement flats on the site after obtaining planning permission to knock the building down - appears that they have given up trying to obtain the required permission. Drove past this morning , the McCathy and Stone board was down and a new one exhibited in its place stating that the building was For Sale . Appears that the building will remain empty for the foreseeable future.

Guess that you , once again , put a great deal of thought in the heading . So true !

I can fully understand concerns about this " Chuch " but just wonder where the line should be drawn - all religions are responsible for so many problems / atrocities in this World ..........?

Been down to South Devon for a few days and walked up Torquays Main Street , Fleet Walk , really surprised at the number of empty shops , shops that have closed down over the last 12 months , so sadly it does not appear that it's only in Hereford that shops have closed.
