Twowheelgood - from what you say there is soon going to be some more of the Public money spent on more accommodation for the Constabulary somewhere else ?
-
All they need is an office -be it in ASDA or other location , even a portocabin on a car park with the times when somebody will be there . Everybody , or 99% of the adult population has a mobile phone , all the Constabulary have to do is publicise the contact number so that like 999 it's recorded in our brains. We do not need to go to Police Stations except to perhaps surrender firearms , make statements etc. so the reporting base for Police Ifficers at the start of their shift can be a room in the area they cover , no need for fancy buildings. Proved by the building the WM Police use with BT at the rear of Sainsburys. They must start look towards the future........!

From BBC WALES website The NHS in Wales will be the first in the UK to fund a cannabis-based medicine for people with multiple sclerosis. Sativex is taken as an oral spray and has been approved by the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG). It will be available on prescription to treat muscle spasms for MS patients who have not responded to other medicine. The MS Society said Wales was leading the way in the treatment. Its programme director for policy, Sally Hughes, added: "Muscle spasms and stiffness in MS can be painful and distressing and so the availability of a treatment that can potentially alleviate these symptoms is good news. "We particularly welcome this decision considering the draft NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) clinical guideline, published in April, rejected this treatment for use on the NHS in Wales and England based on a flawed assessment of the drug's cost effectiveness.

Dippy , I bet red wine at the Commercial would have made you available ?

Simple question ,Do they really think that we are idiots ? AV i understand where you are coming from re employment but the way this is apparently turning out stinks. -
A friend sent me what is a simple explanation of ISIS ! Are you confused by what is going on in the Middle East? Let me explain. We support the Iraqi government in the fight against ISIS. We don’t like ISIS, but ISIS is supported by Saudi Arabia who we do like. We don’t like Assad in Syria. We support the fight against him, but ISIS is also fighting against him. We don’t like Iran, but Iran supports the Iraqi government in its fight against ISIS. So some of our friends support our enemies, some enemies are now our friends, and some of our enemies are fighting against our other enemies, who we want to lose, but we don’t want our enemies who are fighting our enemies to win. If the people we want to defeat are defeated, they could be replaced by people we like even less. And all this was started by us invading a country to drive out terrorists who were not actually there until we went in to drive them out. It's quite simple, really. Do you understand now?

It would be good to see a Police Officer in High Town during the day
Ubique replied to Ubique's topic in Police & Crime
Very sad to hear that the lady had died after being in a collosion with a cyclist in a " pedestrian area " during the time when vehicles are , apparently not allowed nor should cycles be ridden - I accept fully that the complete story of this sad incident has not been made public yet so one must not jump to conclusions - however ....... Will be interesting to see if the Constabulary will now deploy Police Officers and / or PCSO in High Town area during the busy day time hours. Having said that , during the morning of the 6th Aug I saw two PCSO near to the Post Office talking to 3 youngsters who were sitting on a bench . The two PSCO's were standing with their hands deep in their uniform trouser pockets - looked a complete mess, showing no authority - perhaps I am old fashion enough about me to know how to show authority and how to address the complete cross section of society . Having hands in pockets in uniform is slovenly and shows a lack of training etc. -
Belmont & Newton Farm SNT Newsletter August 2014
Ubique replied to megilleland's topic in Police & Crime
From Dippy. Also, do other areas get these news letters?? And if so, are they due out at the same time?? For the last 10 years have lived 4 miles to the NW of Hereford - never had a newsletter from the SNT - in fact never seen a patrolling Police Officer or PCSO from WMP - the MOD Police do patrol the lanes at irregular intervals , suppose we are lucky in that respect . It's good that at least one SNT do a newsletter. -
This is super - please share http://smile.ssafa.org.uk/

My last line above should read - good decision by the WMP by taking the long overdue action they are taking . Very wise decision keeping the City Front Counter open -

Chris Chappell , i am sure that you will find that the person on the Front desk / counter is a member of the Support Staff , I surrendered two,Section. 1 firearms a year or so, ( found when my father died ! ) ago,and it was a Civilian who initially saw meI he had to call in a Police a Officer to confirm that they were safe . If I am wrong and it was a police officer who initially saw me ,who them had to call in a firearms trained Police Officer I am amazed that the West Mercia Police are just entering the 21 Century . From my enquiries and research ( same thing ) a number of other Forces went down this road many years ago , using supermarkets , hospitals , library etc etc with signs saying when the contact point will have a human being there ready to receive the Members the Public who have no other means of communicating with te Police . I am over my three score and ten - have only visited the Police Stn, once , as above , to surrender two pt 1 firearms so the course taken by the Constabulary - good decision to have the City Front Counter staffed . -

Just wondering ( but what do I know ? ) where or what the evidence was to convince a JP to sign a Search Warrant - if a Search Warrant needs approval from a JP ? Or is a Search Warrant easy to get these days - I am sure that somebody close to the Constabulary will enlighten me - and if they do I will say thank you in advance .

My green wheelie bin was MADE IN GERMANY - it says so on the base of it , I know that whist being in the EU it's an open market BUT I sincerely hope that the new black wheelie bin was made in the UK , hopefully England. ( But I doubt it )

On another post Cllr Vaughan -Powell didn't appear content with the fact that some posters use names other than their real one. ( forget the correct term for this ! ) From these minutes it's apparent that some members of this Council for whatever reason , do not want their names in the public domain either !

Hey Dippy , I have an interest in this - my mother is a member , now 93 , her Membership No . Is 18868 , well it was in 1946 . This alleged offender might be stealing from my mother .

Think that if shoppers DIY at the till they should get a discount off the bill. Having said that , I find that Sainsburys check outs are very slow and do not have many check out operators so the store is driving customers to the self service tills, thereby reducing costs but not the shopping bill.

The use, sale and possession of cannabis (marijuana) in the United States is still illegal under federal law. However, some states have created exemptions for medical cannabis use, as well as decriminalized non-medical cannabis use. In two states, Colorado and Washington, the sale and possession of marijuana is legal for both medical and non-medical use. Multiple efforts to reschedule cannabis under the Act have failed, and the United States Supreme Court has ruled in United States v. Oakland Cannabis Buyers' Cooperative and Gonzales v. Raich that the federal government has a right to regulate and criminalize cannabis. Also, if the cannabis is called "medical cannabis" the federal law still has priority. I understand that at least 23 US States allow the use of cannabis for medical use . Do we need a petition ?
