Chatting to a male in his 20s the other day in a pub....he has 4 children by , guess what , 4 different girls and his present girl friend is expecting a child . Has he got a job , not worth it , it's Benefit for him . Some might think I made up this story , I can assure you that it's the truth .

Bobby , your comment is , to my ageing mind so true , as an aside you omitted to include that the ageing population make up the majority of volunteers giving up their free time to support Charities . Going on from that if the ageing population did not do charitable work who would fill the gap because there would be a gap ?

Wonder where the most expensive car parking is , probably in London area.

Doh ! I drove out of Morrisons using the exit opposite the Sorting Office and turned left , thought that the road was very light on traffic .........soon realised that I should have turned right and then in 100m join the new road , once on the new road drove towards Edgar St . I knew that I could only turn left at Edgar St , whist doing so it immediately became apparent that the near side lane was full of stationary traffic all waiting to turn left in Blackfriars St . " They " will have to sort that out some how . Other than my first error I thought the road was OK ....... Heard a Con Cllr talking about Church St parking today on BBC , he stated that they alway review decisions in 6 months after they were implemented soooooooo let's wait and see about Blackfriars St problems !

Going to be -10 Monday morning about 0500hrs . That will make the roads very slippery plus of course it's a pain having to scrap car windows BUT it's important to do it properly , see far to many vehicles being driven along the road with a little peep hole to view out of .

Katie Horne. khorne@whitecross.hereford.sch.uk; Subject: Shared Freedom - Shared Future A member of the Armed Forces Covenant attended a remembrance ceremony yesterday in Leominster Cemetery at the graves of 7 Polish soldiers who died in the late 1940’s at a resettlement camp located in a former military hospital at Barons Cross. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Leominster, councillors and members of the Polish community and flowers were laid on each grave Afterwards he was introduced to Katie Horne , email above , a teacher from Whitecross Academy who has obtained a £50k Lottery Grant to make a film entitled Shared Freedom-Shared Future about the contribution made by Poles here in particular their soldiers and airmen. She would like to talk to any veterans or their families in the County who would have memories of the Second World War and subsequently. I attended the Service around the War Memorial in St Peters Sq on Saturday 1100 hrs on the 11 of the 11th , which I have done fir a number of years . Good attendance. My criticism , and it's been my criticism for a good few years is that the members of the public are unable to hear what's being said by the Preacher and others who are located around the Memorial . There are two apparent Solutions ........ 1. A Sound System is set up, or 2. The Council person who," marshalled " the great and the good should encourage the Public to move forward into the road closer to the War Memorial . The public are reluction to block the road but will if encouraged to do so . Hopefully a City Councilor will read this and consider the options .? Thought that you would like to read this poem, it's very true and probably one of the most poignant poems I have read for a few years......... A Soldiers Story. I was which others cared not to be. I went where others feared to go and did what others failed to do. I asked nothing of those who gave nothing and reluctantly accepted the thought of internal loneliness should I fail. I have seen the face of terror, felt the chill of fear, warmed to the touch of love. I have hoped and pained and cried, but foremost lived in times that others would say best forgotten. At the very least in later days I would be able to say with GREAT PRIDE that I am indeed a SOLDIER....or a VERY PROUD VETERAN .

Chris , it's so right that we make efforts on Armistice Day to remember the Fallen , I know it will continue way past the time I get my calling . The majority of Serving members of our Armed Forces and Veterans have reasons which they do not talk about to pay their respect on this day. The Hereford Veterans Breakfast Club who meet at 0930 every other Saturday at the Imperial are meeting this Saturday , after a very good breakfast we will make our way to St Peters Sq for the short Servuce at 1100hrs.

Ragwert , was I correct , did McCathy Stone get planning permission to convert that building to Flats / Apartments ?

I will ( again ) stand corrected but a few years ago I thought that McCathy Stone purchase the old Eye Hospital or the building next to it in Eign St. which is now a flourishing car washing business . Perhaps McCathy Stone are sitting in the properties and build when it suits them within the Planning Application duration.

Last Saturday morning I was listening to the Graham Norton radio show on BBC Radio 2 . He was interviewing a man who's name escapes me . This man was Gay and explaining how he " came out " During his explanation he used the words Faggot and Queer . It did flash through my mind that they were not words I would use in this day and age but I presume that as the person who used the words was Gay it was acceptable - becomes quite confusing for somebody who had attended more courses on PC than you can shake a stick at .
