Cambo as it was your idea I think you should get the first question. I also think a question from Megilleland, TWG and Bobby as they are all very knowledgable about Council activities. In truth though I have no confidence in any question getting an honest or even a direct response. Since we now know, thanks to Dippy that the Council is run by biscuit heads!

Decision notice. The Bullying of Disabled Council Staff

Paul just maybe the Council in response to your disclosure will take more care in future to uphold the rights of disabled people, who in the face of adversity are just like all of us trying to get by in what is after all a civilised society? You have my admiration and thanks well done! -
Bobby I will never look at another Ass again and not think of you and your flaccid penis! Your imagination really does take you to some strange places! Hilarious.

Cabinet control of Herefordshire Council could end soon

And there you have it Cllr Chappell! If you think you know my identity then be my guest expose me, I've been bullied before I'm immune to it! I have certainly faced the consequences! Councillors who don't like criticism will attack the critics, my question was valid and in my experience Councillors will pick their battles with their goal on winning the war!- 70 replies

Cabinet control of Herefordshire Council could end soon
flamboyant replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
Forgive me Cllr Chappell 'please let those of us with the experience, knowledge and courage, get on to do the job?' Who exactly and more importantly, where was all the experience, knowledge and courage, when these scandals were in the making? By your own admission you weren't familiar with the bullying fiasco and if anyone had the experience, knowledge or courage these scandals wouldn't be happening over and over again! At the very least keep abreast of Public Sector News we don't want to find ourselves with any more suits kicked into touch by another Council!- 70 replies

TWG the left hand has never been consulted by the right hand, that's the problem! It's a Hugh sum of money set to be spent on yet more IT Software! I couldn't take it in needs Megilleland to tell us what it all means, why exactly do managers need a recruitment software, they're making half the bloody Council redundant!! -

Councillor Chappell it's reassuring to know that the remaining staff are 'content with their job' they are probably really grateful to remain in employment! In my experience staff who complain are normally seen as trouble makers and are hounded out of their jobs! One of the hardest things for a victim of bullying to do is stand up for themselves and face the repercussions that will inevitably follow! I hope these people are supported and continue to enjoy their jobs without any further harassment. -

Article on the Hereford Times is the same department were the events described above happened only it's not called bullying in the report it's called 'tension between managers and staff' never heard it described like that before! The report states- Page 28 There is also evidence to suggest that the aggressive implementation may have impacted on staff working particularly in the Contact Centre and that this resulted in tension between management and staff. This did not assist the implementation. These issues were eventually resolved. (Staff complained software was crap, so you bullied them!) Some staff also expressed concerns about system functionality and effectiveness although views of staff varied on this. Some staff reported the system freezing and other technical problems but this concern was not universally shared by all staff. (Staff were to scared to speak out' they saw what was happening, to those that did!) Officers also stated that they thought the implementation had been achieved in a tight timeline but as a result many of the service departments which needed to be bought into the vision of the project (as they would effectively be ceding budget and staff to a central customer department) did not fully share the vision. This meant that any further development of the project, without corporate pressure being applied, would be unlikely. (Corporate pressure being applied, translates to bullying!) but they bullies had gone by then! You can find the report here http://councillors.herefordshire.gov.uk/documents/g5221/Public%20reports%20pack%20Tuesday%2009-Sep-2014%2014.00%20Audit%20and%20Governance%20Committee.pdf?T=10 Hereford Times http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/11445015.Business_case_for___1_million_Herefordshire_Council_IT_system_was_not__fully_realistic_/?ref=var_0 -

GDJ, I can tell you exactly what happens to someone who blows the whistle at Herefordshire Council, regardless of any reporting codes or policy, your identity will not be protected! You are immediately labelled a trouble causer and you are hounded until you either leave or they come up with a legitimate way to get rid of you! Sit back shut up and take whatever they throw at you if you want to keep your job, you certainly won't get a job elsewhere because they will blacken your name! Don't complain about anything you see or hear play dumb! If you want to further your career with Herefordshire Council you have to endear yourself to the likes of Geoff Hughes, Helen Coombes or Alistair (invisible) Neil, if you cock up your head will roll not theirs! If this happened anywhere other than the public sector then the person at the top of the food chain would be the person out of a job, like in the case of the BBC scandal. It won't happen in public sector because these Senior Directors are to expensive to get rid of! So it goes on and breeds like a disease, the Geoff Hughes, Helen Combes and Alistair Neil's are not accountable for the actions of their managers, I'd be surprised if they knew what was going on! -

Cllr Powell above is a response to one of your posts on another topic from TWG, as he quite rightly states you are paying some extremely high salaries to people who are responsible for making sure this type of thing can't happen! If this type of thing happens then the whole chain of command should by kicked out the door! Starting with the Cabinet member followed by the Director and finishing off with the Department managers! Your Directors earn 70 -140 thousand a year and if someone under their charge is guilty of any wrong doing then they should all fall on their swords! The top players are paid to ensure this type of abuse can't happen, if it does and continues then they are not doing their jobs and that's when you should be stepping in and calling for their heads!!! -

Dippy they didn't keep their jobs they all went probably with a golden handshake and we are sorry to lose you! -
Yesterday Herefordshire Council released a statement about the savings made from the closure and sell off of Council buildings 'It is predicted that we will save in the region of £350,000 a year from the closure of Bath Street, Blackfriars and Brockington. However, this figure will not be fully realised until we have officially sold Bath Street and Brockington' The savings identified will cover the cost of the posts identified on here! I am absolutely gob smacked that Tony Johnson and his party would rid us of our valuable assets and describe this as a yearly saving, when essentially all they've done is enable themselves to pay for more suits in more fictitious posts that we don't need! It's a huge price to pay for yet more incompetence! What financial adviser would advise you to sell off property to pay salaries! Am I missing something? Do the public have no control over our assets?
