    He can't even get the cost of a D band property right and he's in charge of our finances! He also quotes the cost for a child in care is £200.000 a year If he and Bramer sod off that's one child sorted !! I know what I'd prefer! He makes me so mad!

    I have a wonderful idea for saving £670.000 + SACK THE FOLLOWING Cllr Johnson £145.000 Alistair Neil £145.000 Geoff Hughes £120.000 2 Public Health 'consultants' £170.000 Head of Customer Services £50.000 2 Senior Managers. £80.000 Total £710.000 Then use the money saved to cut the grass and add the remaining £40.000 to Social Services Actually if they did this I would gladly cut the grass so the entire amount can go into Social Services! There is not one of the above worth the extortionate salaries we pay them! If I hear one more Councillor tell me we have to tighten our belts we have no money from Central Government or Cllr Johnson say one more time 'we need to look after our children and our elderly' I swear I will scream! These Councillors, Senior Managers and Directors spend their days inventing restructures where the only purpose it serves is to secure their huge salaries! Has anyone seen Alistair Neil anywhere? What in gods name are we paying this man for! Did Councillors receive their Computer allowances this year? I bet the money paid out would have secured at least one part time member of staff in Children's Services! Why are we still employing Consultants!! I hope the hypocrisy keeps them awake at night but some how I doubt it!

    Stupidfrustration it's only libellous if it's not true... From what I can see the Council do appear to be paying out large sums of money for B&B accommodation I think anyone whose homeless should get the very best accommodation, so I hope the Council conduct regular assessments of accommodation they use to ensure they are getting the best at the right price.

    Biomech stop tormenting FCC! It's not their fault Hereford Council are idiots!! Don't forget I expect these chaps are facing job cuts so tempers might be high. You could find yourself stickered and thrown in the dust cart never to be seen again! Then where would we be without your 3am blogs? No my dear friend that wouldn't do, it wouldn't do at all! lol If you must torment someone please direct all your energy towards Hereford Council they deserve to be permanently tormented!

    Can someone pleas explain in terms a simpleton such as myself can understand, what is the difference between capital budget, revenue budget and decant budget. How many budgets do we have and why? It's very confusing!

    Weather is ideal for grass at the moment couple of days sun and then a few days rain! I'm cutting mine twice a week so no time to cut anyone else's. Can someone let me know if they catch our leader Councillor Johnson cutting the grass verges, no doubt he will be looking for the CEO of Herefordshire Council? I haven't seen or heard anything from him for months, is he still around and does he have a petrol mower? I'm waiting for the inevitable photo shoot of our Council Leaders on a ride on mower? Any bets on who it might be?

    Well said Dippy I agree 100% The answer to the question on pay rises along with how many new posts created with a salary over £28,000 since the cuts in services began would put the Councils mantra 'we are all in this together' and 'we must make sacrifices' into an entirely different domain! I expect if you add it up you would be truly astounded! If there was a freeze on recruitment which included, consultants and agency staff and no increases in salaries across the board then I would roll up my sleeves get my lawn mower out and take my own rubbish to the tip!

    Yes megilleland well said but let's not forget IOC are also getting some kudos from this little escapade! I'm sorry but am I the only one who sees this as a PR dream for IOC ? They couldn't wait to get those pictures online! When are you people going to wake up and see this is all politically driven! I would have been more impressed if they had cut the grass and kept quiet, but alas no they had to get it online! Look what we've done how wonderful are we? I'm sorry but being a nice guy isn't what wins elections! I await the backlash!

    This is now turning into a competition which will divide the City even further. Which Councillor can form the best Community group? They will be giving out awards next for the best maintained areas! What we need to know was grass cutting in the original contract signed with BB ?

    Cllr Powell any news from the grass cutting meeting today? Did you manage to ascertain which grass is being cut 3 times a year? Also are there plans to form community groups in your parish?

    DIPPY I don't entirely disagree with your post and you'll never be unpopular with me. I just won't be bolstering the Council until they put their house in order. If my child kept wasting his pocket money on sweets, I wouldn't drive him to the shop. I'd stop his pocket money. Don't facilitate the madness it's called tough love. I don't want to see my beautiful City fall into decline but I won't assist in the madness until the Council administration start making some intelligent honourable decisions. I would rather see them fall on their sword. I strongly believe if we don't make a stand there won't be any end to this madness. There are areas of our city that you won't rally to this cause...

    We will miss you Bobby but thanks for taking one for the team! Can you blog from prison? Seriously though I don't think you, me or anyone else has a hope of changing the Councils decision. On the plus side- IOC are recruiting volunteers to cut the grass and from what Cllr Harvey tells me it's going very well, they have been inundated with offers of support from their constituents. I can put in a good word for you ...
