Having looked on various websites can find the names of the Trustees but not the Committee members
-
If I was Glenda I would be most upset and find the tone of the letter nasty. Did all the Committee sign the letter or is it from one individual who has not got the guts to put their name to the letter - an unnecessarily harsh letter.

No Roger I think it is where knobs have taken bags of litter from by the shop and spread them out on the grass. Any suggestions how best to instil pride in the area that people live in. See Meggieland's post

There is a lot of issues involved in all this - the value of the pound/the Helal trade/the costs of production in this countryover production worldwide etc etc. I certainly don't fully understand it but all I can do is to urge the public to buy BRITISH food wherever possible. British food is like British land once it's gone it's gone! As a supermarket Morrisons stock a lot of British produce it has just got to get the pricing right on some items.
-
He eats quite healthily though doesn't he? Out of Morrisons Asda and Tesco my preference is Morrisons - some of the assistants need a bit of charm school education but on the whole they're ok. They need to charge more for milk as long as they pay the farmer a realistic price though.

A letter in the HT from young Phillip - I REFER to the letter from R Williams (Bypass not SC2 is proper way forward, Hereford Times, July 30). Herefordshire Council has taken this “bull by the horns†and put forward evidence-based policies that form the Local Development Framework – Core Strategy, which is now with the planning inspector for approval as a sound plan, for adoption by full council in early autumn. The policies in the Core Strategy are well-known and have been through considerable consultation. To keep Herefordshire viable, we must grow the economy through enabling business opportunities, meeting the demand for housing and the road infrastructure to support it. R Williams’ views of the value of the Lugg Meadows may be shared by others, but the meadows are protected by statute and we will never be able to build there under current regulations. For Herefordshire to have an A49 trunk route bypass, it can only go to the west of the city. Residents and businesses are demanding a bypass for the city and to this end we have regular meetings with senior representatives from Highways England to ensure this route becomes a project for national infrastructure priority. The SC2 – South Wye Relief Road – has been largely funded by the government through a successful bidding round through the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership. This was gained against tough competition from other projects because of the value-added benefits to the economy and travel sustainability. When built, SC2 will become the next phase of the western bypass. The funding to build it cannot be used for any other project and will be released to us in phased stages throughout the build. ADVERTISING Share article However long it takes to choose the route, gain planning and achieve funding for the rest of the western bypass, it is our only option. COUNCILLOR PHILIP PRICE Cabinet member for infrastructure Herefordshire Council

If people who spend oodles of money tithing gave that money to proven transparent charities this country would be a little bit better. Anybody who reads this forum think carefully before tithing and read this - " There exists a section of scripture that most Believers have never heard of or read in their lives, and that is not by accident. One of the harsh side effects of yielding your entire biblical education to a “Pastor Dude†is you run the risk of learning in a controlled environment – an environment with monetary motives. If you were to really sit down and read Deuteronomy 14:22-29 it would shatter everything you have been told about tithing and church – in just a few short sentences. I now understand why Pastors skip this chapter, because to teach it would be the end of church as you know it. Deut 14 22:-29 lays down the law when it comes to paying tithes, how to pay tithes, and when we should eat the tithe. Yes – I said EAT THE TITHE! If we were to really practice Tithing as practiced during the Old Testament, then all of us would be fully aware that Tithes were consumable goods. Even if the consumable goods were converted into currency back then – under the command of God that currency had to reconvert back into an edible item. In Deuteronomy Fourteen we also find the Duration of TITHES – and a mobile home trailer God called his Temple - that never remained in the same place for long. Let’s read Deuteronomy out aloud together because you’re only 3 minutes away from Tithing Emancipation. 22 “You shall truly tithe all the increase of your grain that the field produces year by year. 23 And you shall eat before the LORD your God, in the place where He chooses to make His name abide, the tithe of your grain and your new wine and your oil, of the firstborn of your herds and your flocks, that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always. 24 But if the journey is too long for you, so that you are not able to carry the tithe, or if the place where the LORD your God chooses to put His name is too far from you, when the LORD your God has blessed you, 25 then you shall exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place which the LORD your God chooses. 26 And you shall spend that money for whatever your heart desires: for oxen or sheep, for wine or similar drink, for whatever your heart desires; you shall eat there before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice, you and your household. 27 You shall not forsake the Levite who is within your gates, for he has no part nor inheritance with you. 28 “At the end of every third year you shall bring out the tithe of your produce of that year and store it up within your gates. 29 And the Levite, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you, and the stranger and the fatherless and the widow who are within your gates, may come and eat and be satisfied, that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do. If They Build It You Will Pay For It! How could this be when the church concept that we recognize today takes place in a fixed building, tithing is cash money, and members pay tithes every week. To answer that question honestly is the beginning of wisdom when it comes to “Church†and the end of “Church†as we know it. The reason I can boldly make that statement with all confidence is because the current concept of church cannot survive without a steady flow of counterfeit tithes. The only church that can survive without Tithing is the church that Our Lord Jesus Christ spoke of – The First Church of You. This is why I stand firm on the premise that it is impossible for you ‘go to church.’ You are a Breathing Church, and there is no physical way you can safely go into to yourself. When Jesus looked at Peter and said upon this rock I will build my church – nothing in that sentence had anything to do with a brick and mortar building. I know this to be true because whenever there is an earthquake the main cause of death is the subsequent weight of the tumbling building. Jesus never built a brick building on Peter because the weight of it alone would have killed Peter. Jesus built “HIS CHURCH†in Peter. It is the cost of maintaining these ‘Church Buildings’ that is keeping the real work of Christ from going forward in great numbers. Jesus never taught us how to Tithe – Catholicism taught us how to tithe. The ministry of Jesus has no use for tithing, such is not the case with the ministry of your Pastor. Tithing is the only thing that keeps church buildings in an upright position, and serves as the underwriter for Pastors who were never called by Jesus. The reason Deuteronomy 14 is never taught or touched in church is because to teach it, would collapse the buildings." Amen and Goodnight

Cynic yes suspicious yes. Six families ready by January to take on the role that No 1 Ledbury has been doing very successfully. This is not an easy role to train for and with all the stress and strain of Christmas you can guarantee at least one family will have second thoughts about what they are taking on. It is a huge responsibility.Looking after anybody's child is a huge responsibility. I wonder how much this exercise has cost not only in the training but providing all the facilities needed and each special needs child will need different facitilies and needs and there is no guarantee that the child will bond with the family. It is all too ridiculous for words. I wonder what plans they have for No 1.

I understand what you are saying Greenknight and AV. However the developers and HC have to learn to work with the locals. The locals know the areas and know the need for housing in that area more than anybody - they know how long houses take to sell they know youngsters want to live in town where the night life is they know what the upside and downside of living in the area is. For a developer to come along and do a 2 bit consultation having never spent any quality time in the area is also a bitter pill to swallow. Housing surveys are so out of date how any accurate facts and figures can be given out is a total mystery. The last Housing Survey carried out in Kingstone was in 2008 - 7 years ago. People want bungalows developers won't touch em they are not lucrative enough and should any be built other worthy causes are housed in them and so there is still a need for bungalows. Sadly HC through no fault of us Joe Public (we've paid up our Council Tax) are so cash strapped a nice big planning application arrives on their desks and ching ching money money to get HC through another month. Poultry Houses PA's HC charge at least £30000.00 just to look at them. How many developers do you see planting 200 300 houses in their back gardens not too many. This is what the village needs we'll get it pushed through people will get used to it - of course the locals fight against PA's and it is all because of the attitude of Herefordshire Council and the more the locals resist the more money it costs. One property expert is Kirstie Allsopp she knows what she is talking about and people should listen and act on what she says.
-
The locals might have a say but they are not listened to. Most people accept there has to be houses and each village should bear the burden. It was originally in the Core Strategy that houses would be built per pro the number of houses in each village. What villagers get upset about is when developers move in with grand ideas of building say more than 20 houses in one lump with promises of how it will bring a village together and what wonderful things new houses will bring to an area. When in actual fact it is probably the first time these people have ever been to the area Proportional growth and gentle infill . I can see where JB is coming from but Ewyas Harold is a very prosperous successful village so I am not quite sure it is the right place. There are other links to this on other forums.

Very irresponsbile of the parents to encourage these kids and let's face it they are kids out to these countries on a religious recruitment drive. I wonder how long it will be before FC adopt this little old app to get even more of people's money into their "charitable work". New Tithing APP Just Made It Easier To Give Pastor HIS MONEY!PimpPreacher.com New Orleans Bureau 08/03/2015 If you hated Tithing before then you may want to stop reading this article right now, you will really hate the 10% Principal after reading this. Pastors are now promoting an APP for Tithing! The art of pimping a congregation in this age of face developing technology is a breeze, now that members can send a pastor “His†money directly from their cell phones. The App was by a company called Tithe.ly and their primary focus is to assist all of those Tithe Addicted Pastors get their expected donation as quickly as possible. The gullible members who sign up for this app can also select the Automated Giving option so that their credit card could be charged automatically every month or week on a specified date. And it gets worse than that! The App also has what’s called a Beacon feature that alerts the member’s cell phone the moment they enter the church, and sends them a text message that reads: “Welcome to [your church name]! Would you like to give? Today… [insert your message here].†If it wasn’t for the Jesus part of it all, I couldn’t say I blame the Pastors for trying to push an App like this on their members. If a grown man who has worked 60 long hours per week is stupid enough to give 10% of his before taxed income to a Pastor who has sat at home watching The Word Network most of the week – then there is nothing I could possible say to change that. Here is what I will say There is nowhere in scripture where it records Jesus paying a Tithe nor has Jesus ever ordered Christians to pay tithes. Over 98% of the places Jesus actually delivered sermons were in settings outside of traditional churches / synagogues, therefore tithes were not necessary. The only time Tithes are necessary is when a group of Believers decide to have “church†in the complete opposite way Christ had church during his time on earth. That’s why in 2015 there’s now an App for that! Please check out our APP called “The Lies That Tricked You Into Tithing.â€

Well that be a very sad day if BT leaves HT - judging by the standard of the rest of the reporting we can kiss goodbye to the very searching reporting that BT has got such a name for. Sorry off topic once again!

Loss of council tax for a period of 15 years say £9750.00. This is just one house I wonder how many more there are. No wonder this county is on it's knees.
