  1. Lovely photo of two of the new Conservative Ward Councillors in the Hereford Times this week on page 119. Jon Johnson now Wormside on the left and David Harlow now Llangarron on the right. Two faces to watch they will go far. They're cleaning a bus shelter. What is it with bus shelters and the Cons Patricia Morgan adopted one and she really was terribly proud of it.
  2. Love it was he looking for your vote!
  3. Yes on the Facebook Hereford Times page tghey are saying that one of the officials when handing the forms told them they needed to put 2 crosses on one form. Whether they confused the forms I do not know
  4. Hello Glenda you must be heart broken but there is a plus side you can speak more freely now . What's that saying keep your friends close but your enemies closer. A lot of people should heed this.
  5. There is a very good sensible letter from Richard Stow on the HT election page and in hindsight he is absolutely correct. IOC and the Indies should have bonded after all supporters of the 2 parties had one thing in common.
  6. Surely somebody knows somebody who knows somebody in Saxon Gate. Yes keep the spirit Dipppy
  7. Saxon Gate to be subject to a by-election 4:41pm BREAKING NEWS.... *Correction to that result: Seat in Saxon Gate will be subject to a by-election following announcement - result is now void according to Herefordshire council Seat will not now go to Conservatives - result was: McEvilly, Mark - Winner Conservative 549; Griffiths, David It's OUR County 530; Oliver, Aubrey Liberal Democrat 357; Davies, Alison Independent 96 A council spokesman said the result was not safe due to the number of spoilt ballot papers with a vote for more than one candidate. He said up to 400 papers were spoilt. Yes Cloudberry what is the story here. Macevilly wasn't he the one with interesting nominators?
  8. AV you might wish him back in time to come!!
  9. Jon Johnson is in Wormside. I am absolutely gutted devastated
  10. When the grass isn't cut the bins aren't emptied rubbish everywhere potholes everywhere and every darned thing else they will moan moan. I feel sick.
  11. Our dear little Seb Hope did not get in bless him he must be gutted
  12. The Con does not even live in the Ward. What is going on? The Wolverssons(as in Rockfield) proposed and seconded him
  13. Tory in for Stoney Street Jimbo not in I think we are hitting the worst times
  14. At least Glenda can take comfort in the fact that she is loved by many and always will be I am afraid it is just going to get even more shattering
  15. Andrew Atkinson did not have the same fortune in Wrexham that's interesting
  16. No no no she's been beaten by Phil Edwards - this is an absolute disgrace
  17. There are some very surprising results and also some very predictable results - this could still go either way - look at last night's shocker - some good people have gone - shame Chris Chappell back in congratulations and stability - well done!
  18. Dippy no I was talking about Jean's letter I haven't even looked for the application. You talk nonsense not in a million years leave that for us old ones!
  19. It came through fine. Contact your Parish Council when the planning application is on line and ask them to ask HC for an extension of time. Who is your Parish Council. Clehonger I imagine? I expect they will have an emergency meeting anyway but speak to them first.
  20. What on earth happened to Purda? Poor Jean to have received that letter without any prior warning disgraceful behaviour on election day. So people affected all along that route would have received the same letter. Those who are in favour of it because of the prospect of houses being built on their land would they not be swayed into voting for the Cons? The timing could not be more questionable perhaps somebody in the know could tell me I am correct or incorrect because it does not seem quite politically correct to me.
  21. Sorry to go on and possibly on I've just put A49 to A465 Link Road into the search (which is usually sufficient to bring up a planning application and lots of other things) but no planning application. Hereford Times would definitely have picked up on something as big as this so I don't know. However I did find this Hereford Relief Road Southern Core - Herefordshire Council https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/.../hereford_relief_road_southern_cor... .31 Dec 2003 - Corridor linking the A49 with the A465, taking into account ... in the Hereford Relief Road (HRR) Study of Options Report (Amey, September. Quite an interesting read don't know whether this was included in the consultation papers. Oh Cloudberry has just posted something so things might be different now.
  22. Jean Jean Jean I am so sorry to doubt your word. I never imagined that they would move this fast especially with an election in the middle of the consultation period. They do not know for sure that the Cons will still be in control it may well be some other party who does not agree with this. Driving from Locks the other day it was hard to imagine that those excellent arable fields could be concreted over. When will people realise the connection between fields and food production. It is a stunning picture postcard view as you approach the Lousey Oak. Once again Jean I am so sorry I am on your side. I live in Kingstone and we have been swamped by developers wanting to plant many many houses here so I do understand! What is the Planning Application Number.
  23. ‘Jesus burgers’ and Tory councillors: The new Freedom Church strategy? Hereford Heckler are running a very interesting story
  24. Absolutely you are most certainly forgiven Colin. Just hope not too many people get confused in the Polling Booth tomorrow
