  1. Cambo - when we at Kingstone asked for his help on our problem Jess would not get involved. However after 15 months of waiting for a decision Jess started to get interested and wrote to the Council on our behalf then the PA was passed with 28 conditions. So personally I would leave him out of the equation. Why not try Bill Wiggin.
  2. CB Please spell this out to me and anybody else for that matter who can't keep up with this unfolding saga. Are you saying Edgar Street is earmarked for development? or possibly a new site for the Fire Station/Police HQ/Ambulance. Basically tell all if following recent developments you are now able to or do we still have to wait until after 1st December?
  3. Chris Bull - good looking forward to a front row seat!!
  4. Yes and as I keep on saying HC really want to cover a lot of Herefordshire with houses because they think that will dig them out of the financial pit they have dug out for us. Whether these houses are really really needed is very questionable. It's high time some Councillors saw the light and start to represent their electorate.
  5. I am not a football person but am deeply fed up by what is going on with HUFC. The amount of emails flying around about leases and HT is full of it week after week. Can nobody with any authority see that this is bringing Hereford even further down does nobody care? Jess dabbled and has now gone quiet. HC issue statements that are not worth the time they take to send out. This is a really bad message going out to the residents of Herefordshire. Surely somebody somewhere can stand up and sort this unholy mess out once and for all. Bad press about the hospital/racecourse sat doing nothing/threat of the demolition of a beautiful Victorian building to be replaced by some tin shack and much more. HC should be absolutely ashamed of themselves in their lack of leadership and direction. Flicking through the HT Hereford is beginning to hit an all time low.
  6. Unable to copy link Hereford & Worcester Fire Service have won an award of £4.2m NO please do not get excited this is for Worcester Fire Station relocation. In short they are moving but more notably in their move they are allowing enough space for Police and Ambulance Stations. This surely should carry even more weight to the relocation of the Hereford Fire Station. Did Hereford and Worcester Fire Service apply for an award for Hereford if not WHY NOT?
  7. You've got to hand it to them they are very intuitive - especially when it involves somebody elses money!
  8. Lovely article on this magical house in the Hereford Times this week page 26.
  9. Yes Hillbilly when that bridge at Bridge Sollars or Lulham was renewed something should have been done to widen the road and the bridge thus taking a lot more traffic away from the centre. A lot of people have said this for years but there are quite a few houses along that route so it wouldn't really be ........................
  10. Or are there other organisations that should be made aware by HC?
  11. I see Brockington has not come onto the market yet. Volunteering is fine but when you have the feeling that the mickey is being taken you think again. If some of HC/NHS/Fire Service high ups were prepared to sacrifice something say 10% of their pay it would not be such a bitter pill to swallow. This country is being propped up by volunteers and charities.
  12. Like Clarkester I think it's a brilliant idea. Don't forget all the commuters/students/school children. Why not open up the local rail lines more? It would alleviate the school traffic and hopefully take some HGV's and white vans off the roads.
  13. He has to say the last bit to justify HC passing all these PA's for housing developments throughout the country. House building pays the bills. This money isn't just paid over for each house built enormous sums of money are paid over on the 106 monies. Both of these just inflate of the price of a house.
  14. I was talking to a nurse over the weekend and asked her if she had received special training for ebola and no was the answer. Quite frightening really when you take into account there is no assurance of who is coming into this country. I too have had many trips to the hospital and have never had a problem with the care and kindness offered to me by the doctors and nurses. The dedication of these professionals is to be applauded and they must be devastated that despite never ending hard work it still doesn't come out right. Another case of the suits messing up when will they will realise they are the ones at fault and throw in the towel.
  15. Oh I have no doubt one or two of them will jump at the chance of an all expenses trip to Cannes. This greed for the "finer things in life" is an illness sweeping the country. Over the weekend there was an article in the Telegraph about the boss of the company that issues the Blue Badges getting a near million pound bonus. These people disgust me. I suppose the thinking behind not having many affordable homes within city limits is so that the "riff raff" are out in the sticks hence making centres appear prosperous, thriving and buzzing.
  16. and there's a massive national house shortage duh
  17. Yes I agree if I was a youngster looking to buy my first property it would be amazing to live in High Town. Naturally assuming that it had had a massive clean and was buzzing.
  18. "Decision: The application was approved in accordance with the Case Officer’s recommendation, with provision for consultation with the Chairman and the local ward member." As per today's Planning Committee decisions
  19. 276 signatures now. I think I am correct in saying the speakers are allowed 3 minutes for the opposers and naturally 3 for for the supporters. So if there are 3 people speaking they will each have 1 minute only
  20. Sarah Lowe replied after the deadline so she would be excluded from speaking. Also because she is I think a Council employee. A word of caution people who write well do not always speak well. John Llewellyn Perkins does anybody know him? Or there is a lady from Breinton with a double barrel surname who wrote an objection anybody know her?
  21. There is a lady I heard speak at the Kindle Centre HCS do last year. She was heavily involved with the Edgar Street trees. I do not know her stance on this. Her name is Amanda Martin absolutely wonderful speaker. Perhaps somebody knows her well enough to approach her.
  22. I don't know about JB he does not always have very good luck with planning issues
  23. Number 50 objection I think this one will lift people's spirits only quickly read through it though https://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/documents?id=009b4431-4d6f-11e4-8a21-0050569f00ad
