  1. It goes back to what I said a little while ago TJ believes what he is told - when he asks a question he gets an answer and he believes it. His minions are making a fool out of him.
  2. Please can somebody in the know tell me why they are struggling to keep a 2nd fire engine but can clearly spend a fortune on a new building.
  3. Cracking or if you people are not sure what to write just copy and paste the contents of the above!
  4. He doesn't get involved in individual PA's that is under the jurisdiction of HC and I quote!
  5. Go to RSPB and are there any bats? But they will have done all that or should have done if they are worth their money.
  6. But it is not the look of the building that matters it is the fact they are demolishing the existing building. I have not had many successes with my letters in the past but that is the line I think I would emphasise - they could be replacing it with a supermarket/brothel/tea house or whatever it is the site that niggles.
  7. Hereford United Football Club 03 September 2014 "HUFC frequently asked questions 3 SeptemberHerefordshire Council is a creditor of Hereford United Football Club (1939) Limited. During the recent attempt to set up a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA), the council was listed as one of the club’s creditors. The council took no part in the CVA, as it considered that other creditors were likely to be more affected by the outcome. Whilst the council is owed money by the football club, the amount would not affect the financial viability of the local authority. However, this might not be the case for smaller creditors, where the amount owed could be the difference between remaining in business or not. The council has not joined in the current legal proceedings by other creditors seeking the winding up of the club. If those proceedings are successful, the council will recover the same percentage of the debt owed as the other unsecured creditors. The council will continue to seek payment for the outstanding debt, which to date has not been settled." So £65k would not affect the financial viability of HC but it would have paid for a bit of grass cutting or gone to help some really desperate elderly and vulnerable. How relaxed the finance team of HC are. But there you go it is not their money they are handling so a different view is taken and that's probably why the Council is in the mess it's in.
  8. I think TWG mentioned the reopening of Ruckhall bridge after many years of closure. The Jess is to do an official opening tomorrow.
  9. Mr Johnson please could you tell the audience what areas of the county of Hereford and the city of Hereford you have not visited since being Leader of HC. Or if it is quicker please tell the audience what areas you have visited.
  10. Naturally I am glad they are safe. How grossly irresponsible of them. A stretch of community service for them would not go amiss. Also a letter of apology from these 2 people for all the commuters they inconvenienced this morning. Lastly a very apologetic letter to all emergency services called out to search for them.
  11. Mind you I would prefer that the Council did something with these "surplus/redundant" buildings rather than sell them off to pay their bills. They are always seeking innovative forward thinking overpaid staff you would think one of the bright sparks would say hang on a moment we could do this or that with the building and so on. But no I think it just goes to show that the majority of these forward thinkers are just brown nosing yes people who are afraid to go against the flow because dam it all they are onto too gooder a thing at the moment.
  12. Am I correct in thinking that Brockington used to be the HQ for Tate & Lyle or British Sugar Corporation or something to do with sugar production? At one time not so long ago a lot of sugar beet was grown in this county. Having lived in Hafod Road once upon a time I remember walking past this building and looking at it in awe. I think it is a magnificent building and hope beyond hope that it is listed.
  13. Well that puts a different light on things 16 houses for Marden much better sized development. I bet Bartestree are rejoicing good for them!
  14. Oh dear that will upset a few more people.
  15. This is up before Planning Committee today
  16. Mr Johnson what qualities do you think you have brought from your previous profession that enhances your role as Leader of Herefordshire Council? What advice would you give to the Council to increase their likeability factor with Joe public?
  17. Yes indeed around the county where the verges have not been cut or are going to be cut late the surface water flooding will be a real problem this autumn and winter. The ditches were blocked last year but this year the situation will be further exacerbated God help us another winter of discontent.
  18. Has anybody legally challenged you Bobby or said steady on mate that's a bit harsh - nuh. After all these years of you tapping away I think most people who read our hideously mind bogglingly boring mendacious and whatever else that takes your fancy comments take anything that is a little borderline with a pinch of salt. Sticks and stones and all that. Just keep going to Church every Sunday and repent your sins.
  19. Does this hoped for reshuffle mean that the Planning Committee will be sorted out?
  20. http://t.co/HD9zFH0kHw Cheap cigarettes aren't all that they seem a few added extras - nice
  21. A plea on behalf of British potato producers. When buying potatoes and anything containing potato please make sure you are buying British. Some supermarkets (not all) are sourcing their potatoes from overseas. Thousands of tons of British potatoes this year will not be used because supermarkets are buying cheaper pots from abroad same old story. British potato producers have invested millions to produce the potato the public want and are in danger of going out of business. Yes I know they can be a bally nuisance on the roads at certain times of the year they are only doing their job and are under such tight time constraints they have to keep pressing on. Yes I know they receive huge subsidies but agriculture is hugely important in this county and many parts of the country. Generally if you can buy British food if you don't use it you will lose it!
  22. Is there any truth in the rumour this has now been sold?
  23. Now that it looks like it is finished when will they fill all the units. Doesn't look good that roadside units are still empty and advertising for possible internees. Are there other empty units within the centre as well? Like Bobby I have no inclination to go there and don't actually know many people who do actually frequent it.
  24. Yes I had one of those too tried to copy it onto here but sadly I was not allowed to. I wonder how he and his cronies will be received in Clehonger.
  25. Was there a representative from the Council at the meeting?
